Not so fast thread! Back to the front with you.
I have written an open letter to Square Enix, posted on this forum, as a last hope that they will address this issue.

As I said in its introduction, please don’t see this « open letter » of mine as a diversion from the effort put into maintaining this thread; for it is solely aimed at the next « Letter from the Producer LIVE » (November 22, 2013). Should we get an answer on the netcode issue, it will have served its purpose; should we not, that thread of mine will simply be put to rest as yet another failed attempt at grabbing this publisher’s attention. We will know, ten days from now, what I will personally consider as their definitive stance —as well as mine, for what it’s worth (admittedly not much, but you can’t blame one for trying hard).

Trying to get as many likes as I can for the post so that we might get a response. There have been a lot of posts in the general forums recently regarding issues with the netcode.
Players have found that combat could use some tweaking in the following areas:
Dodging AoE: http://youtu.be/hg33BjzwLWw
Unresponsiveness in the activating ability system: http://youtu.be/ripyJWGWNIo?t=11s
Many of the encounters in FFXIV require fast reaction times or a lot of prediction on the players part to succeed.
Do you have any plans to either:
1. Review the current battle system to allow players to feel more in control of their actions?
2. Review the current battle system so that players won't require such fast reaction time or constant prediction to succeed?
Tip: There's a setting to show from 5-40 posts per page. For me, the thread you linked to is only 9 pages long. Linking to your post itself (number in the upper right) means no paging around to find what you're talking about for people with settings different from your own:On page 25of this thread: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ions%29/page25

I went through and liked anything pertaining to the problem, as well as asking the question myself (on page 6).. there's one person before me who I liked the wording of too. I wanna say he's on page 4 or so.On page 25of this thread: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ions%29/page25

There are only two ways to get changes in MMORPG. Either you got an Internet celebrity on your side that SE listens to (which none appears to exist in this game, period), or you need to gather some kind of massive, disruptive event that may end up with thousands of people getting suspended/banned. I post on this thread repeatedly but I know this isn't actually going to matter. What you'd need to do is have a "Occupy Mor Dhona" or a similarly high profile location, get enough people on every server to hit the zone population cap of popular zones to disrupt the game completely. Of course even if you pull it off all you might do is get a few thousand people suspended/banned, but at least SE will notice if someone was able to pull off such an event. Otherwise, there's really no way to distinguish this issue from any other of the crazy rants people complain about.
