Hi everyone I'm running an Nvidia GTX 650 Ti and am having random freezes/crashes. I'm currently on the 326.80 drivers. On older drivers, my game would randomly get a black screen crash and the error "display driver has stopped working and has recovered" would come up, but the game would be unplayable at 10 fps. I had this issue with all drivers ranging from 314.22 until 326.80. Now on 326.80, my game randomly freezes for either 5 seconds or almost a full minute. These freezes can occur anywhere from playing for 5 minutes (and have back to back freezes) or I can play freeze free for 1-3 hours. Also when these crashes happen, sometimes when the game recovers all the actions that occurred during the freeze will occur but super sped up like I lagged or something. Otherwise, these freezes also occasionally come hand in hand with C++ runtime error (pure virtual function call). I have reinstalled and updated C++ to no avail. I have no problems with other graphically demanding games, I run the game at 60 fps at almost max settings, and I know its not a CPU or PSU load problem and my temps are fine. Also these type of freezes are ONLY on 326.80 but again, on older drivers I get the black screen into unplayable fps problem. In addition, changing my graphic settings to lower does not help at all, in fact it seems to make the game freeze more often. Does anyone know of a possible fix to this? Thanks in advance and sorry for the wall of text.
