none of that information is useful to anyone, if you really want someone to examine the dump files you'd have to upload them somewhere. Also, you'd probably get better help with that at sevenforums.com or something.

usually, in my experience, this kind of frequent app crashing is due to a hardware error of some kind but it could also be a driver issue sometimes.

You're not being helpful when there's tons of threads saying otherwise.

You're likely experiencing similar crashing issues to many others players, especially those with higher end Nvidia cards. It's been acknowledged by SE and is being investigated. Looks like a "hold tight" until SE fixes it in-game or Nvidia releases new crash/freeze/BSOD free drivers.

Check out http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...sh-BSOD-issues for more info & to see if you're experiencing similar issues.

I'm still not convinced most of those threads are an SE issue. This game stresses computers harder than most, so if some have flaky hardware it will start causing issues, so people place blame where it doesn't belong. And this still doesn't change the fact that any "win7 guru" could never get any useful information out of the OP without any actual dump files. Since the OP was convinced it's a win7 issue, I pointed them to a useful place to get windows 7 help. If this is not being helpful, then i don't know what to tell you. you can continue blaming SE for your own computer problems if you like, I don't care.

Also that thread you posted is pretty much the same thing, just gibberish appcrash stuff with people throwing their arms up in the air with no clear solution. I also didn't see the OP of that thread doing any hardware troubleshooting. And then there's all these other idiots saying their computer works fine in other games, yes, but not many other games will stress CPU/GPU to the max like FFXIV can.

And for the record, I have a very high end rig with nvidia and have had ZERO issues running the game for 40+ hours at a time because I'm certain my hardware is stable and working correctly. A general rule of thumb with computers is if they can survive hours of torture/stress testing then they will handle any real-world workloads with ease. If torture/stress tests fail, then a piece of hardware is to blame and must be replaced otherwise issues like these crop up everywhere.

might want to stress your system with something like Prime95 and memtest86 to confirm it is indeed stable. Passmark has several other tools in addition to memtest86 as well (some may not like how Prime95 works)--the trick is to get something that can be looped and really torture your hardware for a while to see if it fails.

This game will HAMMER your CPU/RAM... note I said CPU, and not GPU. If there is an issue with your CPU's cooling, or RAM timing--updating your drivers for the GPU won't solve it. Sometiems it is also a simple matter of inadequate power getting to the GPU, and it resets. Make sure your PSU is labeled as an 80+ certified or certified for SLI/CrossFire use.

Otherwise... with SE's history, the latest drivers are not always the best solution. My 670 seried GPU hums along just fin on the 307.07 drivers.... those date back to late 2012.
