    Nividia GTX 670 driver problems?

As the title states, I think I am having problems with my GPU. I run max settings at 60 FPS no problem, and the temp is usually around 70*C-75*C, normal. Sometimes the game will cause my driver to crash, so the screen goes black, then loses connection, then comes back with no sound and either drop FPS drastically, or the FPS will still run at 60 normally. Even on the very low settings I get a crash. Here is my rig setup:
Nividia GTX 670 Driver 320.49 (Latest release, not BETA)
    8GB RAM
    Intel i5 3570k CPU @ 3.40GHz
    Windows 8 OS
The case I have is a revolt case, and it offers really good cooling, so I am pretty certain it isn't a temp thing. Also if it helps, when I play planetside 2 I never crash on max settings, run 60 FPS, and normal temps. The things I've tried so far to fix this is to roll back to the driver version before the one I currently have, I've tried the newest BETA driver, lowest graphics settings, update just about every driver on my rig, had a fan blow on my case, uninstall/re install drivers, yet I still crash. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

I had the same issue with my GTX680 (black screen, return with fps of 8 or 9). I loaded the current production drivers and have not had the issue repeat (over 1 week).

Still have an issue with some cut scenes cutting my entire system off (very strange and almost certainly not heat related), but as long as i skips those scenes, no crashes.

There is another post somewhere regarding this issue. I use the Nvidia GTX 560 Ti Phantom graphics card with the 320.49 drivers and I have yet to have a problem. However, I have read that a large number of Nvidia and even AMD users are having problems with their drivers. I'll see if I can find the link for you as it may have some solutions for you to try.

EDIT: I found the link where I remember the discussion of drivers, not sure whether it'll help you but you might be able to find something in there that'll help

Ok thanks for helping! I really don't understand how some folks could use the same hardware/software and not have a problem, so you can see this is pretty irritating.

Yeah it seems pretty strange how it's affecting some users and not others. However, saying that, I can not see it being a hardware problem either, the amount of people that have reported these issues leads me to believe there is a problem with the drivers and FFXIV itself! But then again, I'm no tech expert so I could be completely and utterly wrong lol!

I have the GTX 670 power edition OC version and have yet to see this problem. However I only finished building my rig just under 2 days ago so there's still time haha. What I have noticed though is very strange and random FPS. Can be running at 85 fps with a heck of a lot of things going on,then when I run into an empty part of the map it just jumps down to 42 with no reason whatsoever. Very irritating while running around.

So the thread that helped me fix my problem is this one that Jessikia found and linked earlier: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...sh-BSOD-issues
There is a download of a driver uninstaller that I believe fixed the crashing, as I played for 2+ hours today with max settings ad o crash. The website for this program is as follows: http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=379506
Also in that first link, there are other fixes people suggested that may help different folks, so it is worth looking into. Hopefully this all checks out and I wasn't just lucky today.

EDIT: So after another 1-2 hours of playing, it did crash again. Now I'm at a lose of what to do...
