    Well, considering DRGs already have the lowest DPS, and is a class that is severely punished for missing a positional, I think removing the positional requirement is somewhat justified. But then on the other hand, it would make DRG even easier to play than what it is, it makes me feel a bit "eh..." But will most likely really piss off those other DPS class players.

    In my opinion they could make DRG MORE difficult than what it is, if just to justify increase in DPS.

    I sort of agree that in comparison, DRG jumps are the highest risk skills out there, and in order to even get close to MNK/NIN DPS, they need to be used at all times.

    While MNK is a bit trickier class to play as they need to move all the time, DRGs have to take more risks and have more situational awareness.

    Just my opinion, been playing both...

    Is 6.9k+ enough health for T13 if dragon kick and what about without it? I am of course speaking about DRG.

    Just got to T13 today so I have seen lots of different info about DRG HP needed, so could somebody give some opinion.. Thanks !

    There's never enough HP. Never, ever. I've seen things, man! *rocks back and forth in fetal position*

    So that 7044 Megaflare hit rickyguo mentioned a few pages back? That's the exact number of hit points an i130 Highlander BiS DRG with 2-star food has. This hypothetical dragoon would have slightly more magic defense, sure, but I hope the point is made.

    It highly depends on your healer if they can succor you. Currently, megaflare during divebomb phase could hit us as hard as 7.2k (Died many times, i have 7.1k + with food). My static pld have to SS me for megaflare during divebomb for precaution

    We don't have any utility for raiding. All we do is make it so BRDs can do more damage... Unless NIN just gets wrecked in patches, I don't see DRG being more attractive. Even if it does MNK MNK is still the most DPS you can do for melee on a single target.

    Idk why the obsession with "utility". Just make DRGs a selfish DPS and buff them to make them have a really high DPS ceiling that it pays off for the lack of utility.

    As I said, I'd like to have either high DPS -or- utility to compensate for it, but I feel a crapload of people would complain about DRGs having "too much DPS for an easy class to play!". In one hand, I suppose it's a somewhat valid argument, but on the other hand, whichever melee DPS you choose to play, eventually you will learn to play it off muscle memory and you don't even need to think about it anymore.

    (Although I still think DRGs need to be more situationally aware than the other melees due to animation lock jumps which adds to the difficulty...)

    Ikr? My perks with MNK is that there's less buttons to press I often play with only one hand... so I can eat / drink / even text while playing a MNK even in instances such as 2nd Coil. For DRG I gotta play with 2 hands because you gotta keep the mouse turning and so many buttons to press. I still think that DRGs is the easier Job to play because MNKs have a faster gcd and you have to make decisions between clipping a DoT or just let it finish then re-apply it. While DRGs have their rotations magically line-up that you will apply CT and Phlebotomize the moment they're below 3 secs left.
