I don't talk about 200ms or 300ms lag... really, if only it would be that kind of lag, I would not even post (I'm used to a bit of lag, especially in MMOs). No, I talk about that DAMN 2 to 10 seconds lag happening every 15 seconds or so, this is just unbearable.
In fact, this is not so noticeable in fight since there is obviously some compensation in the net code (I doubt any MMO don't have that implemented anyway) : actions don't take longer due to this. But apparently, there is not compensation during craft and gathering, and in that case, this is really obvious. When lagging at peak times, it takes far longer to craft/gather due to big delays between allowed actions.
Yesterday afternoon was the first time I could enjoy this game without any lag since beta (I play several hours per day). I love this MMO, really. But I'm seriously considering not subscribing for long due to this unbearable lag overall. I will certainly subcribe first month, because I'm well placed to know how hard it can be to resolve lag problems, but I will not bear this in the long term, definitely not.
