PC Shutoff (Only while in Eastern La Noscea)

Since yesterday My PC has shutoff then restarted 5 times, only while in Eastern La Noscea.

Twice while trying to participate in the balloon Fate south of Costa-Del-Sol.
(once yesterday once today)
Twice while trying to log back in after the fate crash.
(once yesterday once today)
One other time in another part of the zone perhaps while fate was running.


Would this be fixed by re-installing the game? I could not find a repair feature so I assume I would have to re-download the client from scratch.


CPU: Intel i7-960 @ 3.20Ghz
Mem: 12Gb DDR3 Dual Channel
GPU: Nvidia GTX Titan 4Gb
OS: Windows 7 64-bit

UPDATE:

Logged into another character on a different realm in a different zone,
No Issues.

Logged into Main Character again:
PC shuts down shortly after zone music begins, before loading screen vanishes.

Seems to be a common problem with NVIDIA atm.

Nope , PC just shuts down immediately then immediatle starts up again, no BSOD.

Only happens on that character on that realm in that zone during that fate, then does it again on re-log.

Just tried it again same issue, though yesterday i was able to get in by logging into another char first its not working this time.

going to re-install game completely seeing as there is no repair function.

Rolled back nvidia driver to 320.49, might be able to log in again.

If your PC literally just shuts itself down, it's more of a hardware-based problem. Try using the character that you're able to play with, go to the same spot as your main character and see if it shuts your computer down still.

If the computer shuts down still, it means your power supply/source does not have sufficient resource to generate that certain area. It should at least give you a BSOD error, a quick restart, but not a sudden shut down. It also can be an overheating issue.

Try going into Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Event Viewer>Right-click System and search got Critical. See if you find anything.

You sure it isn't the lack of a UPS? That definitely sounds like your PC is trying to hog more resources (Either you've Overclocked your PC to a point where it consumes more voltage) and as a safety measure it shuts down to save your PC from over volting.

nah i havnt overclocked a thing, only happens in that zone and from what ive seen only happens after participating in that fate.... since i rolled back driver ive been able to log back on but if it happens again ill try to reinstall
