    Horizontal scan lines ><

So I just got a new computer and with this game (and another, but I fixed the problem with that one) I have horizontal scan lines in various sizes running up and down the screen. They're not too noticeable but they're still there nonetheless.

How I fixed it in the other game was I enabled Vertical Sync, which was an easy fix, but there isn't an option in this game in the system settings that I saw. So I went into NVIDIA settings and forced vertical sync there but it didn't seem to fix it.

I also tried messing around with the resolution and that didn't really help too much, it just made the lines bigger or smaller. I mean I can still see and play they're just annoying especially since I paid so much for this computer. :\

    Help?

You may need to tell the community more about your system specs. Sounds like you have some screen tearing going on.

System Configuration -> Display Settings -> Frame rate limit is where you can find Vsync

Depends if they are renaming Frame rate limit as Vsync (Full Refresh / Half Refresh) but it's located here in your menu options - http://imgur.com/oy6ZKYl

Also is it similar to this users issue? http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...raphical-Error

Nope, not similar to that issue. I'll turn the frame rate limit off when I get home and see if that helps.

If you want to enable vsync you would want it on; not off. I just included an image of where to find it.

I don't have the specs available to me right now, but I do have the receipt from my computer's purchase with the parts! :P

    AMD APU A-10 6800K 4.1GHz 4M Retail Black Edition

    Asus F2A55-M/CSM AVL mATX

    8G(2x4G) DDR3 PC10600 Crucial

    HAF 912 NoPS Black ATX

    eVGA GeForce GTX760 w/ACX 2G 02G-P4-2763-KR

    WD 1TB 64M 7200 SATA6Gb Black

    Corsair 600W CX600 V2

    Windows 7 Home Pre 64b

That may not be of any help to anyone but I'm at work and don't know my computers specs. I'm not too knowledgable about computers. :x

These are your basic specs. Are you getting the tearing at times of high graphical traffic? During FATES,fighting multiple enemies, or multiple spells happening on screen? You may want to check and make sure your drivers are up to date. If this is a prebuilt system from like Alienware, PowerPC or some site like that, they tend to lag behind on their driver updates so you will need to do that.

It was a custom built computer, I suppose. It wasn't prebuilt and I got it at a mom-and-pop shop so I assume the drivers are up to date but I could take a look at updating them. Mainly the tears happen during all gameplay, then get worse during cutscenes. I haven't gotten to actually fight anything or do fates yet because I've been trying to fix this. :\ So I guess all gameplay for me would be running around town and accepting quests. :T

Just checked, the drivers are all up to date.

Have you tried playing any other games to see of the same problem persist there?
