    You can say I suck at ARR, I should anticipate the ram's voice and not use anything until then etc. I don't really care, these mechanics are frustrating, it just does not feel right and when your group depends on you, you try to do what you can, but fail due to these stupid mechanics, it really just makes you want to log off, uninstall and forget it for good.

    If they are not going to fix instant off gcd abilities they should at least design encounters around it, so I wonder will this get thrown into the "working as intended" pile.

    I really hope this gets some feedback and maybe a change, after I hit 50, ive taken a break from combat and been working on my crafts because this is making combat so frustrating and awkward

    Any Paladin that uses Hallowed Ground knows how annoying this can be if you're trying to use it in a very clutch situation. Pop Hallowed Ground at 20% HP. Get hit 3 times for the remainder of your HP. Effect finally takes place...when you're face first in the ground.

    Based on the way the game was designed, and also taking into account the current level of difficulty, the development team has no plans to change the timing in which non-global cool down actions can be used, and would like players to take this into consideration when forming strategies.

    Soooo.... really off GCD skills are on GCD skills. I have to hit it like 5 times to get it to go off, that usually takes most of the GCD.

    What is the point of an off GCD skill then?

    I think they should just ditch the gcd altogether. I don't recall FFXI having it and I loved how things worked. Different spells had different cast times and that was it. I remember using things like chainspell which would basically be impossible in the current system.

    I think I'm having the same issue as PLD, when I'm using my normal 3 WS rotation, but I want to throw in a rampart, or fight+flight in the middle, it just doesn't activate until the other GCD WS is finished. is that what this thread is about?

    Many times it just won't activate at all, I have to wait until all GCD and animations are done before I can use them, it's like they are on the GCD as well, and a lot of times I end up missing it for a few rotations, this leads to me taking a lot more damage than I should, or doing a lot less damage then I should, extremely frustrating while in the middle of battle and I need to buff myself. If this is by design, then it's a horrible design! It's broken.
