Game is unplayable for me, can't even login and when I do its the most terrible rubberbanding experience in my gaming life.
My internet is fine otherwise, ran several tests.

Hi hi. Just wanted to chime in and say I am with Sky too (used to be BE), and something definitely happened last week (14th/15th/16th?) because I have been getting lag spikes as well (everyone stops moving for 2-8s and then the game "catches up"). I haven't suffered any 90k. Yet. But the lag spikes are making healing very tricky. :\ And sometimes while crafting, when I do an action, the hotbar goes grey and I can't press any other actions, and have to wait for game to catch up again. This has never ever happened prior to last week, so I truly wonder what happened that suddenly affected everyone. :<
Oh and edit: I think it's a shame if ppl are forced to use paid VPN services to get around this. It would almost be comical to later discover SE had stocks/shares in these services. ;p Purposefully tweak an MMO connection to be awful > players get unhappy > players pay for VPN service > everything hunkydory again....

Lily: Are you afraid of my kiss?
Jack: I'm afraid you'll break my heart.
Lily: Then still your heart... You are dear to me as life itself.
Of course it would be nice if we could be sure SE staff are even looking at our posts re the issue.
Don't think any SE Reps actually posts here. Also, the tickets I sent all over the weekend were only assigned a few mins ago... Pretty disheartening. We might have a better chance of being heard by posting on their community Facebook fanpage.
If you live in the UK I urge you to call them to report it.0870 600 0182.I spoke to Paul.
Just been browsing the forum to see if there was any change on the current lag spike problems alot of us are facing and found this thread in the "currently being reviewed" sub-catagory in the tech thread

Just updating with the latest post in the Sky forum thread. Mark from Sky said the following:
"We have looked into this issue and the problem is with Level 3 Montreal. Hopefully we will see a resolution in the short term."
No idea what that actually means for us, but it's something.
I tlked to sky and se today, im downloading at 22mb and upload 8.4 they said connection/ speed fine. tlked to SE but didn't want to help me cause he trouble shooting steps told him I should try a wire connection , so I politly as for a 100yard cable so I could plug in 2 floors up from router. so both companies no help
Just to put minds at somewhat of an ease, I'll quote a snip from the e-mail:
So at the very least they know of it and are looking into getting it fixed, it's just a matter of when.We are sorry to hear that you are having lagging issues with FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn, and we understand your frustration regarding the issue and are sorry that you feel this way.
Thank you for letting us know that you will contact Sky. We are working on resolving the problem on our end in the meanwhile and hope that the issue will be resolved soon. We will contact you via email again with regards to your escalation as soon as there is an update for you.
I am having the same rubberbanding and lag spikes also, but I'm not with Sky. I'm on the east coast and have Comcast. This didn't start until recently and its horrible. As the OP stated way back when I can't do much of anything because every min or so everything in the game will pause and then catch up with itself. Was trying to farm Garuda Ex and as a WAR when you are pressing tomahawk on the client side, but its not registering in game you have an issue. Hope they fix it soon.
