Thread: Standard 1.0 / Legacy -> phisical CE purchase

I fully agree, with the additional things the physical version of the CE came with, along with the video posted showing everything it comes with, further enticing us to buy it, I think that at the least we should be able to use that code to upgrade our accounts. I mean, seriously, with those things who would really WANT the digital CE over the physical one?

This would be nice, rather inconvenient that we can do this as we all end up with a useless code ;;

It doesn't work for the digital copy either. Essentially, it doesn't work for any 1.0 account that wants to upgrade.

I've emailed them asking about this, hopefully they can just upgrade the account directly ... Not too fussed over the pricing personally.

Probably won't get a reply until tomorrow though ;;

Ouch... That seems a bit stupid to be honest, in my case, eh... I'll wait until tomorrow and see if they reply, probably post the summary here and worst case scenario I'll just throw more money at the TV I guess.

Either that, or start over for the 3rd time, and I really can't be bothered to do that.

Yea, it makes no sense to do so, but it wouldn't be the stupidest thing I've spent money on... Top of the list is 2 server transfers on FFXI and then I quit in like 2 days lol >.>;;

indeed, very shady way of doing things. its so simple as to add the key to the account plus its benefits (30 day gameplay and special items) ............. very disappointed at EE

The silly thing is... all they need to do is let us DELETE the old service from the account, pretty sure that would fix it.

I'm in the same boat, as is my partner who already opened her physical CE, and wants the loot, but she shouldn't have to fork over ANOTHER 20 bucks just to get her ingame stuff.

If anyone from Square happens to read this. We are not asking for much, most of us are happy with what we have paid for our physical or digital editions, and want the contents of whatever physical package we bought. All we ask is to be able to add the code to the accounts, not jump through another silly hoop simply because we bought your old game.
