Saying I need a pre-order code for early access as a Legacy player.

Anyone know how Legacy players are suppose to get their early access code? I just tried launching the launcher and I inputted all of my info in. It then says there is "no valid service accounts" and that I have to register my pre-order for early access. I'm not sure if it matters, but i had reformatted my PC and moved the entire FFXIV folder to another HD and then moved it back after my main HD was reformatted. I'm not sure if it screwed with things somehow. I don't think I ever got any type of pre-order access code before, other than the one I used for closed beta. When I used the one for closed beta, it said that one was already active, so the loop ends there.

Can you double check that you have Legacy status on the account management page? You should see a Legacy icon somewhere there if you fulfill the Legacy status requirements.
Note: 1.0 is not enough to be considered Legacy.

I'm 99.9% sure I'm a Legacy player. I have checked my account and seen the payments of more than 3 consecutive months. I didn't register for the closed beta, yet I was given access. I'm not sure where the Legacy status should be seen in account management, but I don't see it on the site. I'll look again.

Just found that, but when I look at "Active Service Accounts" it just says FFXIV and doesn't have the same screen as the one in the link. I also know I'm a legacy player because my character is on a Legacy server.

Err, Legacy servers are for all players who played V1, not just legacy players. The legacy icon mentioned above is found on your service account page

All 1.0 players got into closed beta regardless of legacy status from Phase 3.
Phase 1-2 was mostly Legacy.

If you don't have the Legacy icon, you don't have Legacy status and can only participate in Early Access if you pre-order.
That only matters if you insist on playing during Early Access though as you will be able to play from the 27th without buying anything.

Some places may sell early access codes separately though I don't know how OK that is...

No need to register anything afaik.
ALL 1.0 players can play for free between 27th of August and 9th of September.
