Yoshi said, and Wada agreed; FFXIV AAR will not launch until Yoshi feels it is right.
No more rushing to beat the release of another MMO.
That really was the true downfall of 1.0.

Man, some of you just will not let the bygones be bygones.
This IS ARR and YP is the project leader. The OLD 1.0 devs has been out of the picture many patch releases ago, might I add. Please, stop crying, lick your boo-boos of 1.0 alpha/beta and let it go already.
Please, cut the negative and stop keep feeding yourselves, and the community, with sh*t that has already been cleaned up by the current ARR dev team.
If you still do not believe ARR will change for the better, please go re-read the beta road map again, and try to retain and understand what is said within this time.
Oh yeah, and don't go whining in ARR beta forum how you want the "old 1.0 features" back and at the same time b*tching about how badly implemented 1.0 was; as many have done in the ARR alpha forum.

I dont think people like solace have ever been in a beta... out of every alpha/beta I have been in I dont think I have ever found a bug that hadnt been reported yet, when i go to report there are already threads on it. So obviously people are reporting these. If you read the information given to you in a alpha/beta you would realize half of testing is just being on the server, you could be totally afk and your presence is still providing a sort of feedback(its called stress testing).
As far as his weak comments on 1.0 alpha testers, it has been said already, we complained and they didnt answer so we assumed there would be way more in the launch version. Aside from all of that it sounds like he is blaming the failure of 1.0 on the alpha and beta testers and not the people who actually created the game... LOL youre a funny guy
I have a question and did't want to start a new threat so I'll post this here how do I confirm if i'm a legacy member is there a way to check it I remember seeing the legacy icon on my loging screen but I just want to make sure thanks see you soon

Thanks I really wasn't sure how to check it this is going to calm my nervesand i'm legacy :0
You can have fun "playing" in the beta, while Testers do their "job" at finding bugs... it's not hard to do both.
You really have to let the bugs come to you and not ignore them like it's a little thing. A little thing to you can be gamebreaking for a lot of people.
Me: Running around killing monsters ( Fun part)
Me: Notices that this monsters won't die at zero HP/Notices this monsters HP won't drop below 50%. ( Doing your job part).
Me: Reports it in for SE to fix this issue ( if I don't send it in there's a possibility it can effect launch.
You can have fun in Beta, no one is saying to not have "fun". but you also have to do your job, If you spot ANY bugs, report them ASAP.
I agree to this wholeheartedly. Often, betas are meant to be played as normal, to see how the game handles and to find bugs just by shear numbers of players. They may not even be asking us to go out of our way to find bugs, they may merely want us to play with the new features and see if anything goes wrong. Of course you are open to try and find ways to get under the world, find possible exploits, and try to confuse the AI of the game, but in my opinion this is not required of a beta tester. You can have fun "playing" in the beta, while Testers do their "job" at finding bugs... it's not hard to do both.

What IS required is to actually play the game, as often as you can or on the dev's schedule. The more you play, the more likely you will find the bugs they are looking for.
When all else fails, Heck the Bed.
Exactly, all a Tester has to do is:I agree to this wholeheartedly. Often, betas are meant to be played as normal, to see how the game handles and to find bugs just by shear numbers of players. 1) Play the Beta
2) As you play if you run into any bugs Report them
3) Have Fun!
Simple, it's really not a hard job to do. =)
