Fan art support for Final Fantasy XIV:ARR!

I see theres not alot of support for A Realm Reborn on gaming websites, understandable. But I think this game will be alot better then when it was first released, if not great. So I was thinking of some way to help the game and try to draw attention to it.

So I thought mabye Fan art! ALOT of Fan art. It might not help at all but at lest it can show support for the team and all there hard work.
I was wondering if anyone would like to join me and make some art to show our support! This is optional, just sharing the idea.

I finally got a new tablet and I really wanted to break it in and draw something. So I got started on a sketch and I'm going to try and finish it before the Devs get back from there winter break.
I hope I can get them to look good, I would love to see someone elss color them for me. :P

Here is some of my planned art.

• "Bahamut" (as it breaks free of dalamud)

I also have a LONG goal that wont be near finish before release of "A Realm Reborn"
Draw all Races, of each clan, of each gender, and for each gender there will be 3 pics.

1. Normal
2. Action!
3. Sexy/cute/or cool

Making a total of 60 pics. o_o;

P.S. Can anyone tell me how to post pics on the forums? Preferably without a third-party website?

I decided to try and fix my first sketch and see if I can make it work, I can't start yet because work is very hard due to the holidays! :P But I'll try to work on a quick sketch of another drawing and post it mabye late tonight, the other one I wont post until the 25th when the Devs are gone. You all see why. -_o'
As for the new quick sketch, it might be Lalafell being cute. (if theres one thing great about them, is that there alot easier to draw.)

As far as I know, you can use '[img]' tags to insert an image, or else click on the 'Advanced' button next to Reply and click on the 'insert image' button which adds the img tags automatically. But as I've just joined (after lurking for so long) I'm unsure.

Anyway, as a FF fan artist myself I'd like to say, do it! It's sad how so many people are still so stigmatized by 1.0's original problems that it's also poisoned their opinions on 2.0 (which hasn't even finished Alpha testing yet). But if there is any way that can be helped, then I'm all for it.

As for my art, I admit I've only done a few basic sketches of my character (I did a few early ones when I first started of Enki as a newbie Adventurer, but I could never get her look right at that time), but recently I've gone back to my XIV art and have done a few more referencing the back story I've started writing for her, and to explain what happens to her in the rift after Dalamud's fall (if anything it's a clever way of explaining all the progress I've done since the servers were reinstated, but why it won't carry over to 2.0 ).

But then I've always liked roleplaying in FFXI as well so I guess this is kind of coming natural to me. I'll post what I've done so far once I get around to scanning them.

We kind of have a lot of art threads already (Well... 3 or 4 ish... but there's a general media one that you can just continually update if you want)

The only other way to post pictures would be to hosting images only through an image hosting site... you can use your lodestone blog to put in a few pictures if you want. But mainly just use photobucket, imageshack, imgur, etc. Also if you have an LS website that uses enjin, you can also use your personal album there to host pictures.

I fully support this idea! A few of us on here already produce several works, and more is always welcome!

I'd like to post more in depth about but currently at a rest stop while driving home for the holidays (been driving 4hrs nonstop so far ;-; )

If you check out the link in Cedri's sig, you can chat with us and watch some of us work on FFXIV stuffs on live webcam. We do requests and fun stuffs too. :3

You can do it through the lodestone, and it doesn't have to be on the blog. When you log into the lodestone just go to your page ind in the top right corner there will be a little drop down called "account settings." Mouse over it and you'll see a file management option, click it and upload w/e pictures you want. Once they're uploaded click on them to make em full-sized, right click, view image, copy the link and paste it in the image tags.

Don't know of a way to do it directly from the forum though.

When the media and reviewers start responding positively to the info being released ... maybe with beta/release/launch campaign footage being released ... I was going to try and print up some ffxiv posters to put up in the local area. Like, on the local grocery store bulletin board, and in the halls at the college (since i live near it) XD

Edit: Oh! ... here is an idea ... maybe you could draw me a nice picture, or photoshop some ffxiv images together that would look good printed out (black and white, i'm cheap D: ) and send it to me so i can use it! ;D)
