If they had greater penalties for non class abilities, or had ANY of them that weren't cross class, that would go a long way to making classes more unique. I think they could do that without changing the names and adding a whole bunch of classes or specializations.Yeah there'd need to be a lot of balancing. The problem with DoMs is that, aside from abilities unlocked within a certain class, there's no specific reason to be that class. A Thaumaturge can make fantastic use of Cure, so why wouldn't a Black Mage?
I dunno. There's a lot of tweaks that would need to be done. Greater penalties for using non-class abilities would be a must.
