Look, OP is WAY of base... I've actually BEEN buying/selling Dawn Drops, constantly, and in two days straight of nothing BUT (not even stopping to kill atomos) buying/selling dawn drops, I've only gotten 7mil.

Entrance fee into realm reborn, all your gils.
But SE -NEEDs- to hire an economist, video game economies are little real world examples. We really need to keep the barrier of entry to a minimum otherwise casuals and newcomers will be put off - and may quit depending on what has been effected. And this affects hardcore players as SE will have less money and less encouragement to put in the full 100% work force.
Also has anyone had confirmation if they are reducing the digit point or if they are reducing your whole gil amount. Those are two very separate things, one says move your money to your retainers and be safe - the other is inescapable (minus buying products).

This is a good point that you make. I didn't even think about how much of a gil sink the free company lots are going to be, so alot of this money will probably be removed granted they dont fix this issue before then.Considering this Atomos thing will probably end in November, along with the world, all it's doing is giving current players yet more of an economic head start. Not only that, it's letting us finish off whatever Grand Company desires we might have. There will surely be plenty of gil sink in 2.0 to take the money back out of the economy. I'm looking forward to buying luxury land.
Or they could, you know, hotfix the prices of what dawn drops sell for.
See below:
This is introducing way too much money into the economy and as others have mentioned, prices for things such as weapons needed for the relic quest are skyrocketing. I hope SE is going to do something in addition to the lowering of the max gil cap. I don't want to see prices go all crazy like they did in FF11 back in the day.

1/10th
Yes but the reason prices are skyrocketing isn't because people are buying and selling dawn drops. Its because no one is doing anything but the damn event so there is absolutely no supply of anything and demand is skyrocketing. There are only 5 avengers on the AH right now on Gungnir, and only one of them isn't melded. There are 6 sarngas. As for the other ones that still have a decent supply the price has stayed relatively the same. There is actually a Rampager up right now that is even cheaper than what they were selling for last week before the event.

I don't know about other servers, but if you can find me a relic prereq weapon that has a good supply of them available up for 50 mil then I will cave to your mentality that it is all the dawn drops fault.
I dont trust google translater :P, but if you can read it ill say ok lol.
1/10 is misleading, it's more like 9/10ths
Guess we'll just have to see if/when the event ends and if people start moving more weapons into the market. I know there are people on my server that play for great lengths at a time and will put in the time to milk this for what they can. They're also the type of people if they have the money at their disposal that they'll do every single relic they can before November 1st.
