Some people need to wake up to the reality that SE will never make radical changes to the Materia system.
Sure, the sub-tiers in Materia will be consolidated, and the melding chances will be boosted slightly, but the way the system functions will not change.

People fail to understand that it's the Materia system that keeps the economic balance in check.
It ensures a proper distribution of the wealth and creates a major demand for crafting and gathering.

RNG (chance) is something that can be found in almost every aspect of gaming, and is especially prevalent in MMORPGs. This is never going to change. How else are items going to perish and make way for newer items to enter the economy? RNG completes the death portion of the life and death cycle in an MMORPG.

I don't understand why people on these forums are so adamant on trying to fix what's not broken.
