We began the broadcast by revealing the title and artwork for Patch 7.5.

The Patch 7.5 main scenario will be released in two parts. Part 1 is scheduled to release on Tuesday, April 28, immediately after the weekend of the North American Fan Festival; Part 2 is planned for early September.

There's a reason the story has been split into two parts, but we’re not quite ready to share the details yet. The timing of these updates are intermingled with the North American and European Fan Festivals, so you can look forward to both new content and major announcements!

Here's our roadmap for the Patch 7.5x series. Get ready for this quick tempo between new releases and Fan Festivals, because we aim to keep the momentum going well beyond them!

Here's our first look at the main scenario cutscenes!

The upper-left screenshot shows the "key," though on closer inspection it's shaped differently from the one featured in the Patch 7.5 artwork.

We'll also be seeing Urianger and the Loporrits together again, for the first time in a while. Their encounter in Endwalker was meaningful for both parties, and the upcoming story will offer another glimpse into their connection.

The screenshot in the lower-right also seems loaded with hidden significance; what could it be foreshadowing?

Throughout Dawntrail, the Warrior of Light often took on a supporting role for the characters at the forefront. In contrast, the Patch 7.5 main scenario will be deeply related to the Warrior of Light's personal fate. Both Part 1 and Part 2 will contain key components of that storyline, so keep a close eye on how the second major story arc of FFXIV continues to unfold!

This finale brings together the allied societies you met in Dawntrail! Each screenshot raises questions about what's going on, but the lower-right image seems to suggest that your relations with each group will grow into an even greater bond.

Two non-main scenario dungeons will be added to Duty Support in Patch 7.5: The Dusk Vigil and Shisui of the Violet Tides.

We've seen feedback that certain dungeon mechanics feel too streamlined in their redesign for Duty Support. Although some changes are inevitable to ensure that support NPCs function properly, we'll take greater care to avoid oversimplification as we continue with these Duty Support updates.

These screenshots feature Archeia Harmonias, the new Crystalline Conflict arena coming in Patch 7.5.

A serene library might be one of the last places where you'd expect to brawl, but nevertheless, its overall ambience has been coming together quite beautifully. We're aiming for the best of both worlds—team fights will be straightforward, but with special mechanics that add a unique flair.

The arena mechanics will be showcased in our next Letter LIVE, so make like a library book and come check that out!

The frozen and abandoned cityscape is unmistakably Garlean, and perhaps you're wondering what bids us to revisit these deserted streets; that will be for our Warriors of Light to discover in the upcoming main scenario.

The melancholy arcade evokes the empire's former glory, and a rocky path leads to a looming structure of unclear purpose. Though the Leveilleur twins and Jullus have sought to improve conditions for struggling denizens, rising fumes and flames suggest that new trouble is afoot in Garlemald…

The third alliance raid of the Echoes of Vana'diel series will be set in Windurst.

We're glad to see FFXI's current surge in activity! Echoes of Vana'diel appears to have motivated first-timers and veterans alike to visit Vana'diel, and our team is proud to be finalizing the series as a proper tribute to FFXIV's "older sibling."

Incidentally, we hope you're ready to take on the enormous character in the upper-right screenshot—yes, you'll be fighting them!

Earlier in the week, we had our first review of Windurst: The Third Walk with the FFXI Development team and FFXI Producer & Director Yoji Fujito. They complimented our attention to detail, and shared specific feedback on minute color differences and other small refinements.

As veteran adventurers may notice in the screenshot of the massive tree, even the greenery aims to capture the feeling of the original. We've had to abbreviate some of the transitions between scenes (these are mere imitations using electrope, after all!), but even so, the team's guiding desire has been to represent their memories of Vana'diel as accurately as possible.

For example, early in development, the first mock-up of the alliance raid had a segment that was way too long because a passionate developer overfilled it with references. Yoshida reminded them this was an alliance raid first and foremost, and should be paced to be enjoyable as one.

And of course, you can look forward to hearing the music and voice acting! Rumor has it there's an all-new track in the works, but even Yoshida hadn't heard it yet.

Tune in to the next Letter LIVE for our first in-game look at Windurst: The Third Walk!

We're not quite ready to show actual gameplay just yet, but there's a great deal that we're excited to share. Please look forward to hearing more in our announcements at the North American Fan Festival!

Our adventures in Occult Crescent will lead us to the North Horn, a region abundant with new enemies, critical encounters, and FATEs! The knowledge level cap will be raised to 40 and multiple new phantom jobs will be added, which will surely assist you in your continued investigation of the isle's secrets.

This update will also add Forked Tower: Magic. Based on feedback from the previous release, it'll come in two difficulty levels: Normal is intended for clearing the story, while Extreme is aimed at players who are looking to challenge themselves.

Both versions can be undertaken with up to 48 players and won't require ciphers to enter; you'll be able to register for entry by simply standing at the entrance.
A lottery will be held when there are more than 48 registrants, and those who do not get selected will have priority in the next lottery.

The Extreme version will have a slightly different entry method to prevent players from mistakenly entering the wrong difficulty. When an alliance of 3 parties (with 12 or more players total) enters North Horn, they will a get a dedicated instance for Extreme mode, where they can challenge the Forked Tower immediately.

North Horn will also introduce new gear and upgrades. If you've already upgraded the gear from South Horn, when you obtain the new gear in North Horn, some of the new upgrade steps can be skipped.

The next Letter LIVE will have more details about the Occult Crescent update, including what kinds of rewards will be available!

We gave an overview of the new limited job, beastmaster! See the screenshot (second row from the top, on the right) for the unlock requirements. In the same patch, there will be job quests for beastmaster that go into its lore.

Beastmaster's core gameplay involves weakening and capturing beasts, then calling them forth in battle. You can also call them out and have them walk around with you!

The beasts you tame are recorded in the Master's Bestiary, for those who aim to capture them all. There will be 50 types of beasts in this initial release, and they can all be tamed solo.

Since beastmasters take command of their beasts' attacks and abilities, your fighting style will change based on the beasts you bring into battle. Command the beast to make a move, then follow up with your own actions—wielding the beastmaster and beast's actions in tandem will be a key part of the rotation!

We're also preparing the Crucible of the Unbroken, a beastmaster-exclusive solo duty where you'll raise and command beasts to advance through its challenges.
It'll be a robust game mode with strategic elements and a progression system, almost like a standalone game. Our goal is for it to be enjoyable whether you're looking for a casual activity or seeking a serious challenge, and we're also working on a ranking system for beastmasters looking to push their limits.

Beastmaster and its related content are scheduled to be released during the Patch 7.5x series.

We originally planned to update blue mage during the 7.x series but had to allocate more development resources to beastmaster. Since we wanted to make sure both limited jobs got the time and attention they needed, the timing of the blue mage update has been adjusted. In exchange, we promise to do our best and polish beastmaster into a limited job that many players will be excited about.

Keep an eye out for the next Letter LIVE, where we'll be showing beastmaster in action!

    ◆Housing Update

    (02:15:06)

We finished minimizing the load of increasing the furnishing placement limit, so the limit for both indoor and outdoor furnishings will be increased in Patch 7.5. Storeroom capacity will also be expanded by roughly the same amount; the specific increases are listed on the slide.

We're also developing graphical settings that allow players to fine-tune their housing-related rendering load. Examples include an option to reduce the number of visible characters and prioritize displaying furnishings, and another to hide furnishings that are further away from your character; we'll go over them in detail in the next Letter LIVE. Our goal is to offer a variety of options to choose from, so our players can choose what best matches their preferences and gaming setup for a smoother housing experience.

The increased placement limits should be a noticeable boost to creative possibilities, and we hope you enjoy housing design even more than before. We'll also continue looking into whether those limits can be raised even further.

As for the feature for expanding housing interiors, which is currently in development, we now have a target for release timing. All that remains is to ensure that no issues will occur even if every estate owner chooses a large-sized interior. We currently expect this to be ready for the next housing update after Patch 7.5.

Looking a bit further ahead, we're also looking to make a major update to the housing user interface to make it more convenient to use.

On a related note, many advanced housing design techniques are only feasible for the most well-practiced players, so we're considering system-side changes to allow free placement of furnishings without relying on surfaces. Prioritizing creative freedom over fictional gravity is one of the goals on our roadmap of future changes, which we would like share with you in a future opportunity.

Patch 7.5 will also add new interior fixture designs.

We saw requests for a dark-colored version of the existing simple design, so we prepared an interior to go with moody atmospheres, such as cafes and bars. We hope it'll be useful for those looking to tackle new housing projects with the additional furnishing slots!

    ◆Armoire Update

    (02:22:09)

This update expands the range of items that can be stored in the armoire.

Starting in Patch 7.5, the armoire will be able to hold all job-specific gear and every set of gear obtained from 7.x dungeons. Now that we've established a system for storing dungeon gear, we'll be gradually rolling out armoire support for older dungeon gear, and outfit glamours for them too. We're dedicated to making glamours take as little storage space as possible, so please look forward to future updates!

On a different note, the current outfit glamour system lets you add individual gear to fill out a set, but you can't remove individual items from that grouped state. That's something we plan to address, and we hope to demonstrate these improvements in the next Letter LIVE.

    ◆Dye System Update

    (02:24:32)

Following the glamour system update in Patch 7.4, the dye system will also be getting a major update.

The various dye items currently take up a great deal of inventory space, so we'll be consolidating them into three categories. The names of these categories are still being decided; but basically, the Type A dye would allow you to pick any of the 85 dyes in Category A.

Just to be clear, this dye consolidation will not change the total number of colors currently available in the dye menu.

Name:	Slide66.JPG
Views:	412
Size:	309.7 KB
ID:	14285

One important note is that the dyes being consolidated will no longer be obtainable as rewards or from vendors.

To address that, any dyes that become unusable starting in Patch 7.5 will be exchangeable for their corresponding consolidated dyes. Exchanging them one dye a time would be a hassle, so we've implemented a special feature to automatically exchange all qualifying dyes in your possession with one button.

Name:	Slide67.JPG
Views:	382
Size:	298.8 KB
ID:	14286

Not all dyes will be consolidated or eligible for exchange; these exceptions are listed on this slide.

This update includes sweeping changes to system-side features, such as the armoire and dyes. In the case of the dye system, the underlying structure had remained largely the same since A Realm Reborn. We're also considering how we can make the dyeing menu easier to use, and reexamining various aspects of FFXIV in general. We have more of these kinds of announcements in store for larger events such as the Fan Festivals, so you can consider this our first step in that direction and look forward to hearing more details.

One such plan include changes to our data center system; we can't go into the details yet, but we'll be resolving certain matters in the not-so-far future.

In some ways, you could consider this to be our last major patch before we enter a new phase, where we'll be revisiting various aspects of the game to provide a new experience—a new FFXIV.

We couldn't fully cover the details of certain updates and systems in this broadcast, so we'll be going over them in the next Letter LIVE. We originally considered livestreaming it from the North American Fan Festival, but felt that it'd cause mix-ups about what's coming in Patch 7.5 and the next expansion, so the next Letter LIVE will be taking place before Fan Festival in Anaheim.

Our goal for these broadcasts has always been to keep our players updated, and to hear their feedback in the comments and other platforms. We keep our eyes open for any request, no matter how small; whether it's asking for something to be changed or wondering if something might be possible. We truly appreciate your continued feedback and support, and will continue making implementations and changes wherever we can!
