This is - again - just self-justification for treating other people poorly.

There's deliberately wiping a group - that's called trolling.

And then there's entering a group that the game itself tells you you qualify for, and having 47 people accuse you of being inconsiderate for not "being at their level."

Whose level? What level is "good enough"? Group A told me it was level X, but Group B told me it was level Y, but group A has 6 players BELOW level X who are real-life friends with the mod of their Discord, and Group B says I meet the requirements in ONE class, but not another, and am therefore a d-bag! What's the socially agreed-upon metric? What's that, there ISN'T one? It varies from group to group?

But the game said I could enter! With randoms! For fun!

What you're putting forward here is that someone has a MORAL RESPONSIBILITY to keep track of 47 other people's individual progress, any potentially-random group's total POSSIBLE progress, and also potentially just PSYCHICALLY know to already be in their Discord before clicking on an open-to-all instance and, if they don't, THEY'RE the jerk.

C'mon, man. We all KNOW the difference, here.

Ganging up - with 47 others, no less - and railing on Timmy The Newb for being a morally reprehensible excuse for a human being just because he had the temerity to click the "enter" button to try the thing the game told him to try is not somehow "morally right" because your group is bigger than his group of 1.

I get that you're trying to convince yourself that enough people are SAYING that it's okay to treat someone that way to make yourself feel better about doing it - but it's not.

If you're told "hey we're a 48man premade and we're looking to clear and would appreciate if you stepped off the platform", there's no "keeping track" needed, you just use your braincells to discover that maybe you should organize for high-end content. I mean, for starters - who was there first? The one (or more) player(s) waiting for a group of randos for a fun, stress-free, chaotic first-timers run? Or your group, made up of 48 people who showed up late and told everyone else they had to leave?

Maybe this is the only two hours a night I get to play, so this is my one shot at getting in?

Maybe I'm just new, and I click on the stuff the game tells me I should click on?

Maybe I'm waiting on MY 47 buddies, and I was here first, so I ask YOU to leave because you're in the way of my premade that I got here early so I could warn people about my impending group run?

How many (mostly) reasonable reasons is that? That someone might wind up in "your" instance or "in your way"? How many of those reasons are someone NOT being an entitled, leeching, anti-social jerk, but instead just "circumstances," or you and your group not going about things the right way?

And Yoshi-P saying that people need to self-organize if they're finding it tough isn't exactly startling news, is it? OF COURSE self-organizing a group can make it easier - that's how THE ENTIRE REST OF THE GAME works, as well. I mean, I can organize a level 100 Savage-equipped unsynced Sastasha dungeon run with the best of them! Only a couple of deaths, tops!

Using that as justification to declare "not treating others badly if they unintentionally inconvenience you" as "a moot point" is pretty wild.

But the OP's "we'll leave you on the floor if you join" is a threat, which I - personally - don't really think falls within the bounds of "within reason."

Its not a threat, its just stating that they're not going to expend their own resources to rez that player should they die.

Which is quite reasonable for foray content considering not everyone in a given instance (which allows any role) would be able to pick them back up.

It is made up by that 1% or less that forget that the content could actually be enjoyable meaning people could be half carried but getting better, but for themself being able to pick up multiple roles and carrying the mantle more so in content like eg. Castrum from Bozja....

And the second part is me first, meaning no one but the 1% should be allowed to join the current content with Forked Tower, I would encourage absolutely everyone to get a few ciphers and queue up whenever it is there, so can present the the actual stats of that crappy place to SE, Yoshi P. and more and tell him and the crew that it is not working with the current formula, and especially the top 5% should carry the mantle and show directly, it is not working like this instead of shaming and attacking people that just want to try or to see the place as it is and even learning how to complete it without having watched 10 hours of videos of whatever 'content' creator.
