Predictions for OC/FT Live Letter

My predictions for the OC FT Live Letter:

Either

• all talk and no action. (I honestly have little insight as to what the detail of that might be. Other than we hear you and please look forward to part 2).

or

• "We aren't gong to comment on our original intentions for FT.
  - But we have heard the complaints of the Upper-class High-end, and because its the easiest change to make, we are helping the discord cartel savage player get what they want, and making it easier for them to pull the ladder up after themselves, and enter with full complete exclusive premades.
  - We will not be changing the design of Forked.
  - We will not be enabling it to be queued casually, nor limiting premades to of 8/48, nor applying stiff penalties for abandoning, nor anything else to really help casuals get in without threat or hindrance
  - We would like acknowledge the complaints of the casual player, but as we don't really acknowledge they exist that would be problematic."
  

I privately thinking surely I must be wrong. If I temp fate, surely it will play out differently even if its only because the universe likes to screw with me.

This way its win win for me. Either I get to be right, or I get to be wrong and that's a great thing.

You know major stuff like this... they really shouldn't leave it until a live letter. Its the privacy blocker issue all over again. They should have low key, frank, discussion, where they explain their thinking... then start formulating a plan (in priavte), but where people can start giving feedback on their thinking before they go too far.

I said I wanted them to communicate, but communication is a double edged sword, and I'm not sure live letter is what I had in mind.

I don't want them not to communicate, but honestly I'm terrified for them.
(not for myself, I'm just well past done already.)

Maybe if they are about to say something like 'hey we will help the savage premade players', maybe they will read this in time , to come up with a meat on the bones explanation for why that is the only group - YET - AGAIN - who are getting any help or consideration.

Hoping I can come back here and say, "glad to say I was very wrong about 'x' at least".
Please just have good explanation if you are again going to throw the aspiring non-discord casual, absolutely nothing but a tweak to the timing of braindead press X fates.

I think they already blew their one free "oopsie-daisy" on Chaotic's difficulty being higher than spec. They can't just come out and say they aren't going to do anything at all.

Predictions. I have a bet with multiple FC mates on how many random merchandise collabs and merch they will introduce. That should tell enough of a story of what we expect from this liveletter. Maybe they should make the game better and the merch might sell more.

DT just managed to kill any semblance of hype of them trying anything new in much of the community. I WISH I could be happy with the same over and over again as part of the community clearly is, I WISH I could be happy with this slow patch cycle and lack of any meaningful change or innovation.

But SE should understand. They aren't selling COCA COLA, the taste doesn't need to stay the same. You have an MMO, it NEEDS TO INNOVATE or you have FAILED at your job. More news at 10.

I'm not going to make any predictions or assumptions but the fact they're dedicating the first part of the LL to it is something to note. Usually they will make brief comments.

Their attempts to "innovate" have also been consistently failing tho

Innovating isn't gonna do them any good when the problem goes far beyond a lack of innovation.

This is seemingly the third time they've "accidentally" overtuned a piece of content to be Savage. Making the mistake once is understandable, making it a second time is questionable. But a third time? Unacceptable.
