Good luck with that, this complaint is literally an american/EU thing only, no one on JP cares about this if you look at their forums. (and rightfully so).

Coming back to this thread to see it's exploded. Glad to see so many people agree!!!

Also, to the "only americans/eu" have this complaint I will say that's just not true. While everyone's entitled to having opinions, the fact of the matter is that this opinion is not regional. I'm not usually on the forums (for multiple reasons) but on different social media sites lots of people in different regions have complained about this recent piece. I saw a huge thread on X the other day in KR where multiple people were complaining about this. A JP fanartist I follow also complained about it. To think that this is something only western audiences want just isn't correct. Plus: the forums shouldn't be your end all/be all. The majority of players aren't forum members. I only joined for help with a bug, initially, for example.

I like how a lot of people brought up the opposite issues. While I focus on my bunny boy a lot when it comes to gender variance in clothes, I do also have a femra I really like to dress in edgy/masc clothes and it creates the same issue... Nier raids are my biggest source of pain with this cause both versions are amazing so I want the option of both.

However, I realize they have a lot of stuff on their plate, and it's hard to get it all done as soon as possible. This is why I think for simplicity's sake it makes more sense to stop gender variance for now if they can't make them switchable right off the bat. Which is also understandable in a way. Allowing the switch between gender variants would take a lot of overhaul, and a lot of time. Especially with how stretched thin I'm sure their team is. Still worthwhile but... My only small hope is if they are going to move forward with masc/fem options for all that they might already have some of this new stuff adapted but are just leaving it until they can have the system fully implemented? Since this is a lot different than genderlocked gear in terms of code and everything.
