No, they are not responsible for anything and everything that could interrupt your connection to the service. SE is responsible for keeping their servers running and they've done that.

You are responsible for your connection to the service. SE has no control over how you choose to connect.

Fix your connection problem. Start with your ISP to see if they will route your connection around the trouble node. If they won't do that, you can use a VPN service to reroute it yourself.

Or you can keep complaining in the forums about this and get nowhere because there is nothing wrong with the game servers. This is your problem, not their problem.
Okay dude I have enough of this. I understand you want to defend a big company, but saying that DDoS attacks are solely the players' problem isn’t fair or accurate. DDoS attacks target the game servers, which are managed by the company. Players don’t have the ability to prevent or defend against these attacks, and it’s unrealistic to expect them to.

It’s the responsibility of the company running the game to invest in proper security measures to mitigate these attacks. Things like DDoS protection services, server redundancy, and better network infrastructure are all within the company's control. Players are here to enjoy the game, not manage the server security.

While it’s unfortunate that these attacks happen, the company needs to take action to defend its players from them. Blaming the players who are affected by these disruptions doesn't solve the problem or make the gaming experience better. If the servers belong to another company trust then they still manage them, hell even if not they pay money that speeks louder then words. You can't tell me they can't do anything about it, they simply don't want to because other stuff is " more important " for them.
