It just makes it IPv6 compatible i think. I honsetly dont' know a whole ton about it. I do know that the addresses for IPv6 are different than IPv4. and i know the packeting format is different between the two. either one of these could cause your problem. but Lusavari has said he's updated his router so i'm not positive this will fix it. still, like always: worth a shot."Old" radeon 4870, newest and rolled back drivers. Can still log in with an alt. Used a friends computer with a radeon 5870 same deal.
On both the Uverse gateway/router and my linksys they haven't came out with a patch for it yet. The linksys does have the latest from their site.
That is only for "IPv6 only" correct?
------------------
I have noticed that everyone i've seen post with this problem uses a radeon card.
Doing a forum search for GTX links mainly to performance issues/FPS drops, and one guy saying he got a disconnect issue, but it looked unrelated (lock up during crafting)
people with radeon cards and SLI setups seem to be crashing more than everyone else too.
Lusavari,
did your buddy in canada have a radeon card?
-------------
I've personally had a couple problems with my SLI setup, but that is related to heat and power draw. the engine in FFXI seems to dislike radeon and also SLI setups. but this most likely due to Japanese programs being relatively unfamiliar with these kinds of setups.
I'm assuming both of you are using the latest drivers. but in the interest of science it may be worthwhile to roll back your drivers to something from 2011.
I purchased an additional 4870 at launch and was using them in crossfire, crashed non-stop but it turned out that it was one of the cards at fault. I use BOINC and during full load on the GPU's, even if they weren't in crossfire mode my system would crash. It wasn't an overheating issue just an old card not able to keep up, even underclocking would crash them. And since I like being able to play a game in windowed mode I didn't bother replacing the old one for a few more fps and a little higher rez.
Hopefully 2.0 can get a directx update for SLI and Crossfire users.

We think we have found the bug but our system does not allow us to find you in the database without a certain flag. Please call us so we can find that flag and try to fix the problem on our end or at least investigate further. We are not allowed to ask for account information so we have to find your accounts via payment/e-mail/address/etc. When you are logged in, a GM can get this information through the backend, but you are unable to login so please call.
they may have new information now, and are unable to contact you directly for legal/practical reasons. phone bumps go
Stephen I called into the phone support line and talked to Justin, he said that on their end my account and character look correct and that my issue needs to be forwarded to the engineering department (or dev, difficult to tell with the backpedaling). He also said that my error code may imply that my character may not be able to login because my character might not have been moved to the new server or is in an area that no longer exists.Greetings everyone,

My information that Justin wanted me to convey for accurate forwarding:
Character Name: Rike Ster
Server: Durandal, formerly Rabanastre (account was not active during merger)
Issue: Unable to log in with Rike Ster but able to with a character (Ret Sekir) I created for testing. Tested with multiple computers, ISP's and locations all with the same error.
Error Code(s):
An error has occurred on the game server.
(30002)1343761480,4406262,5
(30002)1343766138,4406262,5
(30002)1343766227,4406262,5
(30002)1343766288,4406262,5
(30002)1343766358,4406262,5
These were over a few minute period, the "4406262,5" have been consistent for 3 weeks, while the numbers before it just keep climbing.
Justin also said that my ticket numbers are useless to Stephen and whoever he forwards this to, but it can't hurt to pack the information on. Ticket #1687200 and confirmation, dev or bug report #101848463; I have no idea at this point, "getting the run around" has been given a whole new meaning.
I'll post my info as well.
Character Name: Lusavari Rosenrot
Server: Hyperion, formerly Trabia
Issue: Unable to log in with Lusavari Rosenrot, I can log in with other active characters on my account and go anywhere just fine.
Error Code(s):
30002 (Similar strings to Rike) An error has occurred on the game server.
