This problem (same as https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...-Old-Sharlayan ) was going into "Accepted Bugs". So we can hope that something will happen. We all here have an AMD Phenom II and I hope it will be fixed soon.

Yes I saw it was moved, hopefully something comes out of it.This problem (same as https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...-Old-Sharlayan ) was going into "Accepted Bugs". So we can hope that something will happen. We all here have an AMD Phenom II and I hope it will be fixed soon.
I saw some other similar reports of crash in city hubs like this one (https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...oad-from-login). User have a Ryzen 9, so the problem might be linked to something specific with AMD CPU in general.

Here goes my hopes for today's maintenance... Still crashing in main cities.

So we're testing some stuff, I moved her characters into different locations: IE: Gold saucer, Limsa, Gridania, Foundation.
Primal:Famfrit:J'leara - Kernel32.dll+17374 - Ul'dah / Crystarium
Crystal:Coeurl:Kiiari - Kernel32.dll+17374 - Foundation
Crystal:Zalera:Siara - Kernel32.dll+17374 - Mor Dhona
Each of these characters have been moved around from another machine. Which is how we can test it. The error # is different I'm guessing due to the change in video card since I've not put back in the original since they are working now in the machines they are in for everything else.
Frustration continues...
Well official launch day and still no joy. Moved all of her character's to the gold saucer so she could get her cacpot tickets done. Able to fish if someone invites.
Main cities are still a no go, any main city. There has to be something in the code that is different for cities vs other zones that is causing the crash.
No change in the situation. I don't think anything will change until the next maintenance. Hopefully our problem will get fixed then. But I only saw them mention the crashes on Xbox in the 'known issues news'.![]()
I have exactly the same problem. My character that is in open world map can play no problem, but my main that is in Ul'dah causes crash when I try to load in. I also have AMD Phenom processor, so it definitly seems to be a problem with older AMD processors!
Hi! Do not hesitate to post in the bug report section (https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...2-In-Game-Bugs). Since there is not a lot of communication around our issue, we might as well stay vocal about it.
Here is a list of threads and bug reports with the same issue, with the game crashing in cities area. You can keep an eye on them in case something happens in the next days.

Don't think the Phenom cpus meets minimum system requirements for the game. They list cpu as intel core i7 7700 or higher for Dawntrail. Endwalkers requirement for cpu only listed Core i5 or higher as minimum but didn't list generation of cpu. I do hope a patch will be released to fix this and it's not something like it requires a cpu instruction that Phenom cpu's don't support.
