    There are a couple places they do things like this. The archers in Baelsar's wall will drop DoTs on multiple members of the party. There are mobs in that dungeon and in Amaurot that will tether to players. The mobs that tether to healers in Amaurot will even lessen their healing ability until it's killed. So they do play with the idea from time to time and it would be nice to see more of it.

    To the OP, I fully support the idea that you should not play the role if you are unhappy. I'm not currently unhappy to that point so I will still be playing a healer. But this is a good idea and those who feel they need to should absolutely participate.

    The Vault dungeon in HW had an enemy NPC where it performed a raid-wide stack up marker. Not a boss, but an actual enemy NPC that you pulled during mob fights. Would love to see that again in DT.

    Even though I don't main healer I can sympathize with them of not wanting to go another expansion with only one attack and one dot (not counting sge) Even though one attack was added for WHM, SCH and Astro; It is locked behind 2min cooldowns which doesn't fix the frustration and monotony of using the follow actions [Glare, Broil and Malefic.]

    For that I want to suggest and ask the development team to consider the return of the following actions;

    Whm - Aero 2, Fluid Aura(with a potency increase).
    Sch - Shadowflare, Bane, Miasma 2.

    I believe returning these skills will increase healers enjoyment (I left out astro because I honestly forgot what dps skills were removed from them. If someone could correct so I can edit my post I would appreciate it.)

    Next I wish to offer my suggestions for adjustments for the new skills coming to Dawntrail.

    Sch - Remove action "Bane impaction" from chain stratagem and make it "Bane Impaction" a 60sec cooldown.
    Whm - Remove Glare 4 from PoM and make it a 60 sec cooldown
    Astro - Remove Oracle from divination and make it a 60 sec cooldown
    I offered these suggestions so just like sage, these healers have a chance to play with their new attacks more frequently to increase player enjoyment.

    I would love if the FFXIV development team would consider these suggestions.

    I also want to say thank you for all your hardwork on dawntrail and I look forward to it greatly in the next 3 weeks!

    I'm gonna go against the grain here and say they gave DPS and Tanks more mits and self heals cuz healers are too busy spamming glare rather than healing and we're tired of dying to raid wides.

    I think fixing the engagement will help here some. Of course they will be one or 2 healers still just spamming glare but a lot of the time for me I get so bored that I forget to heal damage during raid wides because I forget I am playing healer. It needs to be more interesting. I hate overwatch but I love playing Lucio as support. I love healing challenges of staying alive and trying to keep my party alive throwing in an attack from time to time. I found myself in EW attacking more and healing less.

    I'm not a healer and even I agree-- the current state of the game renders them nearly pointless and certainly redundant.

    Many people forget Baelsar's Wall. That extremely spicy pull with multiple archers firing DoTs on random people and the mechs tethering to people along with all the classic AoE spam.

    That pull was actually difficult back in HW and was very easy to wipe on. If only they could give us a modern version of that, something that can actually stress the healer and eat through their resources.

    Amaurot had some trash that would lock on to DPS and stack fire vulnerability, killing them if it went on too long, or on to healers and reduce the healing they could do. That is the last dungeon I can think of that did anything like that.

    I'm grateful to all of you for this: I quite enjoy SGE and will probably continue to do so,
    so I'm looking forward to the quick in-need queue pops you guys will make more likely when I do DT.

    YMMV. So might mine, actually, but if so all six of my EOC characters have at least WAR and DNC in iL640 to fall back on.
