Yall need to stop giving so much credit to streamers as if this game depends on then to survive, it doesn't, the game was quieter before the streamer/wow exodus stuff but it was in a good place.
I agree asmongold brought a nice boost but it wasn't triple like people claim and I prefer how quiet things were before he came. Aether end up getting locked and the wow exodus overflow came to primal and made things more chaotic. If anything asmongold only brought 100k at most then the endwalkers hype and release brought active players to 1.2 million with returning players coming back. The 400k boost only last until 6.2 or 6.3 until we went back to patch 5.5 numbers with 6.4 and 6.5.

Endwalker had more than enough 'fluff content' for the venue goers and they make their own content rather shamelessly as anyone can see by glancing at what they upload to social media, so rather than cater to their ilk it's time that the development team remembered that there is a sizable chunk of people who treat this game as an actual game which means that they want actual content with staying power to entertain them with and tackle with friends.

Personally, I'd rather see a more heavy-handed approach from the forum owners myself, with a stricter moderation and punishments that also tranfers to your gaming account.
Because if you let those people free reign and 'just' ignore them, you empower those to keep on going as they think they won with their 'argument'.

And sometimes, just like in the real world, harsh consequences need to be in place. Even when it means drop-kicking them (figuratively and literally) in order to keep them in line that their nonsense is not welcome nor tolerated here.
What's interesting is that the forum did used to take a heavy handed approach yet it went too far in such a direction to the point where a number of players were permanently banned for fairly minor and arguably silly reasons. Granted, technically any business can choose to crack down on whoever they so fit but at the same time it isn't unreasonable to then expect those rules to be applied fairly and consistently across the board.

I'm personally in favour of having more of an official presence and engagement from community representatives, which is something I pushed for here:

It's the only reliable way for the business to gain feedback from players who lack a financial incentive to profit off of the game as opposed to influencers who are effectively bribed into championing a product on behalf of the creators of that product.

Q&A sessions that do not automatically filter out hard hitting questions would also be beneficial, I think.

This has been a rather weird expansion on the tail end compared to others as well. I definitely feel like they went through some kind of feedback drought or only had feedback come from a limited number of sources at the end of shadowbringers. The lack of ability to react to feedback that was given in 6.2x - 6.3x patches showed up and now its haunting patches 6.4x-6.5x. Its not like they need to add an entire zone like bozja in 6.55, they just need to do ANYTHING involving fixing the body check issues that are showing up. The cross DC problems need to be at least mentioned and discussed in a live letter at the very least to boost some confidence they are aware of it.

Finally someone said it. The toxic bullying on these forums is clearly organized, and targeted. This has been a fact for years, and the mods aren’t doing much about it.
