I've said as much before, but most of the negativity and spite actually stems from those individuals who have made the game such a sudden, intimate part of their personal lives that any criticism of the product itself is treated as a deeply personal attack.

You are ascribing motives to people you dont know, have never met, know nothing about, and hence cannot even begin to determine WHAT their mindset is or where it stems from. You have absolutely no way of verifying this in any manner.
