Some funny things said in this thread. "This wouldn't exist without the cash shop team." Just like other mounts that are reused from game assets. I have yet to see proof that certain cash shop items are a separate team and don't use any help from the main team.



"Being greedy isn't illegal or immoral" Lucky this is just a game. I am sure the people who die from others greed would disagree about greed. They are right about it not being illegal though.



"It is optional" The whole game is optional, you aren't really making a point.



"The cash shop paid for X or my sub has stayed the same." I can say cash shop paid for everything and pretend to be nice and just use all the money from subs and be telling the truth. Sub is low because it is tiered and they intentionally design the game for people to spend more on monthly inventory.


"SE really stepped up on new hardware" They literally waited till the game was melting when people said needed more at the ends of HW's.



The microtansaction genie is out of the bottle for all games. For better or worse. But SE is comfortable with their player base spending habits. I don't think getting upset anymore is worth it.

i dont play for ERP and I have a load of the mogstation mounts..sooo I guess thats wrong...

Noone is suprised that you rather buy mounts from the store than do actual content. I bet you already bought this one too.

Imagine actually defending this.
The store grows more and more bold with higher quality exclusive items every time and the quality of in-game items in comparison seems to be going down.
It used to be just old event items and a few custom outfits.
There's no defense for this growing practice and I'm surprised I see people in this thread doing just that as if it's okay.

Most people here dont play the game they are just here to defend square from the "MEANY DOOMPOSTERS!". They sit afk in limsa, buy every new store item cause they cant do actual content to get cosmetics and shill on the forums.


Ontopic: Is anyone suprised they keep adding a billion things to the store when everytime people are upset about it the defense force comes in telling everyone that "its not that bad" and "at least its not like wow" (when in reality FF14 store has more items than the wow store)

I saw datamined pictures of this mount around Discord and genuinely thought it was for the next Blue Mage achievement for doing SB and ShB Savages, since it's a Shadowbringers boss and all, and because the previous mount was also an enemy creature (Morbol).

I understand that the store team can operate independently of CBU3, but like come on it’s not hard to literally put this mount anywhere in the game for players to obtain and not spend $. Doesn’t have to be BLU just literally put it in the fucking game for players to obtain

I think we all thought it was going to be a Blue Reward, and would have happily done so!

My main dissapointment with it is the choice of music with it. It's one of the default mogstation music tracks. Cruise Chaser has the Savage Music associated with it, why not it's particular raid?

Again, I happily shelled out the money for the mount, but the music choice is a bit of a let down. Overall, I do not regret my choice.
