    Game Unplayable with LAG NOT on ATT and had no problem playing until this last update

    Since they have done this patch I have not been able to play the game. The lag in unreal, I have been playing for months with no problem. I have hi-speed cable and I am on the excaliber server. When I log in it' lags so bad that you can't walk or do anything. I put in a bug report but have not heard anything back, please fix the game so we can play!!!!!!

    Your not alone. Major Packet loss issues on what seems like the NTT servers for NA. Below is the forum thats been open since May 15th. Has alot more details.

    Yup, the majority of people experiencing this issue are AT&T customers, but not all of them. A lot of other ISPs will use AT&T's network and are routed to the same NTT node.

    You can see the megathread here. Also if you wanna see where you're having issues, you can look at a post made last year about similar issues. Instructions on how/where to do a traceroute are in the post.

    Also, if you post your traceroute, make sure to remove/blur the first couple of returns for your privacy.

    This is mainly for AT&T users but MAY provide help with other ISPs:

    I just spoke to AT&T (as recommended by Yoshi's team: https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...6a07e92f6a0f29

    Here was AT&T's response:

    I have checked in over the network lines, and the team has indeed reported a know issue for which the case is being worked upon. To assist you best upon the issue being cleared over the backend server, I would also like to help open a dedicated port over your router as well, so that the game can indeed function smoothly over the intended device. Would that be okay with you?

    For the tech savvy:
    Go to your modem's Firewall setup page in your browser, and open the port range: 2031-2032 with the base port at 2031.

    Non-tech savvy: Go to https://www.att.com/support/internet/ and scroll to the bottom to chat with a rep or call 800-288-2020. Tell them about the issue with the lag while playing Final Fantasy XIV, and ask them to open the port range: 2031-2032 with the base port at 2031 on your router for you.

    Thanks will check it out. Them saying it is an internet issue is false, game worked fine before their changes, no issues at all for all the months I have played, they update and issues, sorry FFXIV you are the problem....hope they fix it......

    I put it in and did a ping test and the lag starts on the ENIX Servers - all games work on my computer it's just them, from what I am seeing in seachring for answers, they don't fix the problem and I have not been able to play since patch, I even when as far as resetting entire computer and redownloaded the game, which funny enough can't install the final patch, - this is all on them and I guess I need to cancel game if they are not going to fix it.

    Trying to spread the word, but I've found 1.1.1.1 by Cloudflare has really helped with the packet loss and rubberbanding.
