Did this finally get resolved or are people still having problems?
My Marilith FC was doing Tower of Zot last night and kept wiping on the last boss from vuln stacks adding up from AoEs we didn't dodge due to the lag. Mid 4th attempt, the lag suddenly disappeared and we got the boss down without further problems. This was sometime between 6:00-6:30pm Pacific if I remember correctly.
I had also noticed earlier in the day that the lag was extremely noticeable in the Chocobo racing training course as I was unlocking Chocobo Racing on one of my alts. Just tried it again and no lag but then it's off peak.
It's a consistent issue, the bigger thread is here https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...server-networkDid this finally get resolved or are people still having problems?

Yeah still seeing issues. Even just running through a residential area, I’m lagging… lol I had seen a Lodestone notice saying they were aware of the issue, but not sure if whatever happened the other day was related or not. I hope they don’t think they fixed it, because they definitely didn’t!
sums up my peak hour experience this week
off hours its fine though.
so is it a ISP problem? Because if so, then your aim need to be towards your Internet Provider... can try and log in one of my NA characters and see if I feel problems, I am from EU btw.
It gets better at certain times, but it hasn't really improved all week. I just won't be playing for a while I guess.Did this finally get resolved or are people still having problems?

It seems like the issue isn’t straight forward and can’t be singled out easily given people who don’t have ATT and some other select ISPs and do go through NTT nodes are fine.
Further more, there are people who go through different nodes and are reporting the issue it’s not a single node either.
This has the makings of an issue no one will be interested in solving over there.
Not entirely true. NTT's network is quite large, and the side connecting to the servers themselves is going to be in the data center. Its like a highway right. The rods near you are fine, but theres construction midway to the destination. You wouldn't blame the place you are going for construction in the middle, would you? Its the same with SE.
The other problem is when its an issue at a node, that doesn't 100% mean its that node, it could be the node prior. Remember, each link has two ends to it. Send and receive, which means either end of the link could be problematic. And when the two nodes belong to different providers, they are just going to blame each other because fixing it costs money. If both nodes belong to NTT, then they just are being cheap and lazy. But ATT DOES constantly have issues also. I know it effected my work.
NA ISPs are terrible. Backbone providers even more so.
SE NEEDS the traces from those effected in the community for leverage. SE's equipment itself in the DC isn't having issues, so they can't provide data to NTT/ISPs to get it resolved. They need people having problems to send reports with the information so that they can go "Look, a bunch of our users are having problems and its effecting us, you need to fix this. This is why when they have issues local to the DC (physical, like the actual building), and it effects them, they can get it resolved fairly quickly because they can do troubleshooting and give that info to NTT. But when the issue is between users and SE's servers, they can't really troubleshoot that. There's no way for them to do traces to every user. That would be an absurd use case.
