    Incapacitation

Can someone give me an updated chart or info on incapacitation? Is there a skill I can set as PLD from the MRD list that can break Ifrit's horns? Also, how does the mechanic work specifically? Is it a random chance or does each part have a certain amount of HP that the said skill must do to break?

I've attempted to google it, but most of the sites that make any note of incapacitation are extremely outdated.

    Thank you in advance.

The list is on the 1.20 patch notes under [dev1206]: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...tch-1.20-Notes

As far as I know, incapacitation is random. I usually just spam the skills needed, and it goes off eventually.

I also hadn't heard of Ifrit's Horn being a breakable part.

not by a long hot. Every incap have a set of hp, then the limb is broken. Usually permanently, some may be temporaly, like great buffalo's legs.
Ifrit always had breakable horns, lower his regen. In time of lancers was part of strategy, later with thunderspam it wasn't needed.

Maybe THIS is what you are looking for.

    What incapacitation does:-
    - Weaken the enemy
    - Prevent the enemy from using its special attacks
    - Influence the type of loot dropped

Paladin / Warrior abilities that can incapacitate Ifrits horns.
    - Spirits Within
    - Skull Sunder
(assuming the horns count as the head)

Both of Ifrit's horn is breakable, i believe brekaing right one will render it unable to regen hp, we used it before for 4man ifrit attempt.

Here is full list of incap.

Yep and op before you start trying to spam skull sunder or spirits within to break his horns. They are classified under the Other (right) and Other (left). You will only be able to break the right horn, and will need to have a lance or bow user beak the other.

I appreciate all the info guys.

His horn must have an insane amount of HP, because I spam Spirit's Within during the fight and it's never broken. :\

As was said earlier, but you may have missed it, Spirits within doesn't target Ifrit's Horns as its not classified as Head, its classified as Other (right) and Other (Left) on the charts above.

For Ifrit, as far as I know the only damage-able part are his horns. The body-part-looking-like-its-taking-damage might just be what the game does visually.

You can tell if you are damaging a part when the chat log says you are hitting it (ie: Your Concussive Blow hits the Young Raptor's head for 1000 damage.)
