After years of housing salt most people still can not see the writing on the walls. Ever really wonder why SE never truly went for instanced housing? Money. Your subscription. They know if you the player waited years and never got a house, to finally have one, you wouldn't unsub for a long time.

Housing 1.0 Needed better tweaks instead the changes we got (Placard clicking) resulted in this current housing "fiasco" this is the DIRECT result of the Vocal majority screaming for a lottery. Stop complaining. You wanted this.

Island Sanctuaries are going to be your Instanced housing there is a reason they made it so you can gather and plant things. After all it is your own private island.

(Here is one to think about) FC Only wards and Players wards are a two tier society. Its either you play the lottery and win a house, odds are you'll win the Cactpot first by the way Or, you can buy an FC. Before you even think about commenting on this think about it.

IF you are unlucky and dont have a house you'll be waiting till the next zone more than likely (Hopefully Sharlayan housing)

IF they end up adding more wards how many are allocated to FC vs Individuals?

You have absolutely no way to know it was the "vocal majority" screaming for a lottery, I never asked for a lottery personally. I always asked for instanced housing. Stop talking out your ass.

So far as wanting ppl to stay subbed, how many subs did they lose because people couldn't even get a small plot? Quite a few WoW people I knew wanted a cottage and since they couldn't get one they went back to WoW. It's SE's loss for failing to provide.

By this logic, wouldn't they just add a bazillion more wards, all the while requiring people to hold onto their sub to keep the house? Therefore securing even more subs than they do now?

I want you to randomly go back and scroll through the list of threads begging for lottery on this forum and reddit. You will quickly find out it was the case without any way around it.

I am not going to spoonfeed you as to why we both know this wouldnt work. Something about server stability? No wait it can't be that Server limits? No wait Surely not that.. What was the arguements people have made in the past for this exact issue? Remind me again.

Things that could hep but have not been done by SE because of reasons:
- Limit 1 house per data center per person and one house per FC per server.
- Make the already existing instanced apartments in multiple sizes, like medium and large for higher price and make indoor vegetable growth possible.

Instead we will have a minigame inside the game that will provide its own lil world without any other benefit to you other than a maximum 10-15 hours of joy of the first time experience. As far as I am aware everything you will have on your island sanctuary will only be usable there.

The existance of the lottery is pretty FOMO and could act exactly like keeping you subbed for a house imo

^ This was back in 2017. All it says was Private islands as a substitute. However, go to the top of the page on the right. Type lottery in the bar and have at it. Going back to 2017 with the salt. People have wanted this for Y E A R S you get it and you still complain. Don't forget. FCs have been sold before. Now so more than ever. Ask yourself why that is?
