    Can confirm this happened to me on Windows 7 64bit as well. There is a fix in another thread on the forum and I can confirm it worked for me.

    Very annoying, I know it's to be expected on Windows 7 that a lot of new games won't be supported but when a game you've been playing happily and running fine for ages is suddenly unplayable it's a bit of a kick in the teeth. Apparently we "should have known cuz they told you"... well I didn't and I've been playing for over a year and yes I do look into update and changes to the game, not in massive depth but I generally know upcoming content and patch dates so I'm not playing totally blind.

    Should update to a new windows but the idea still makes me feel a bit sick tbh. 7 just works and isn't plagued by all the shady stuff you find in newer windows.

    Oh and yes I also tried everything before coming on here, including uninstalling xD

    Also, the game can break on Win7 with any update. That W7 isn't supported any longer means they won't test new updates on W7. That way bugs on W7 can easily sneak in without anyone noticing beforehand.

    whatever issue i had is now fixed updated last night and today and can log in with no errors
    the issue was not windows related must been something related to the patch
    after a few reinstalls i could log in with no trouble at all

    I started a thread in the Japanese forums a couple hours after the patch after I could not update, same error.
    I waited for someone to post something in the English or Japanese threads and it didn't happen so I opened a thread myself.
    This same solution was also presented in that thread.

    Running Windows 7 64-bit, and am happy with it, after I did a nasty install of 8.1 over 7, to see if I could get by with 8.1, but graphics drivers are not very supported on 8.1.
    I then installed 10 over 8.1, it is a complete mess now. I am planning on nuking the whole thing very soon and putting it back to Win7 for now until I can figure out how to sandbox Windows 10 and Windows 11 to cut off the ability for Microsoft to turn my personal data into an advertising billboard for their profit, what has this world come to... monetization on your personal data everywhere without your consent...

    I have already tested on a VM (a backup Win7 64-bit install on a MacBook Pro) and confirm the that TLS1.2 can be setup to be default.

    Note: this also works for other software like Adobe software that has requires TSL1.2 support and due to software compatibility reasons need to stay with Windows 7.
    There are still many expensive specialty commercial software packages that don't run well on Windows 10.
    It is still true many specialty hardware like banking ATMs run on WinXP or Win7 embedded as it works better with the special hardware.
