Personally speaking...don't be ridiculous. How in the world did you get "used to it" when the changes were first put in? Are you saying people are incapable of adjusting back to what we once had? Rather, this is a mindset of one who feels inconvenienced and nothing more regarding the job.

On another note, Meditate has been brought up as being hard to utilize in it's fullest, especially in Ultimate. People argue that the reward is nonexistent, more so now that we lost all meaning in the Kenki gauge.
Nope, not "used to it" at all. Putting aside the visceral disgust and boring nature, I still take SAM into some "typical" content at least once a week, out of some misbegotten desire to give these changes another chance. Some weird belief that maybe now I'll understand the true meaning behind who changed my favorite DPS job and why.

The answer is always the same; it's shit. It's boring. There's no thought anymore, no sense of satisfaction from performing things correctly, no rush when you see a big meaty number pop up (because there are no more big meaty numbers, just sidegrades to Kasha and Gekko). I still hit the hotkey for Kaiten on occasion, although the frequency is down now. Shinten/Kyuten are just boring buttons to press on their own. Without the context that Kaiten provided the use of Shinten/Kyuten now just seems hollow, like I'm going through the motions.

I can't help but feel like the job is headed for a major re-vamp. Taking everything that's been said in the context with the decisions made against SAM I either have to conclude that SAM is going to be drastically re-designed at some point in the relatively near future OR that the job balance dev(s) responsible for the state of 6.1 SAM is/are lazy and/or incompetent. I've said it before that these changes feel like some rookie dev error, like some greenhorn looked at a bunch of spreadsheets and decided that the right course of action was to give us 6.1 SAM. No consideration for the fun, no consideration for the state of long-time SAM players, just trash decision-making and results all around.

Neither look is a good one. I'm sure I come off as harsh and I won't deny it, but it can't be as harsh as kneecapping a job mid-xpac for the promise of "something better eventually." I have no idea how Yoshi P. came to the conclusion that he should OK these changes but as I've also said before, my once rock-solid faith is now shaken.

I moved recently. Finally out of an apartment into a house. Unpacking a few things that had been in storage for some time I came across something of a gem in the form of my FF14 1.0 CE, complete with the leather bound travel journal tucked away inside. I haven't touched that thing in years. I remember stuffing the box away in some corner of my closet after I quit 1.0 in disgust a mere 6 weeks into retail because of how fucking terrible that game was. I remember being absolutely baffled by the decisions made by the SE devs in 1.0. I am similarly baffled by the decisions made with SAM in 6.1 and I know I'm not alone. Twelve willing, the ripple effect of this will have some positive knock-on effects for other jobs too, particularly healers and tanks.
