I've tried it, I just don't care for the initial flow of the job or its aesthetics.

I might give it a look, but I'm not sure I have it in me to level another job from 1-30. Frankly leveling alt jobs in this game is exhausting, particularly if you're a completionist who clears quests on each map as you go through the first time around instead of saving them for later. Level skips are ludicrously expensive and they skip over the job quests, which are the one thing I do like. Same thing with MNK. Looks fun, not sure I can stand to level it from zero. BLM is bad enough, I've plodded through 37 levels with it and it feels like the gameplay hasn't changed much at all from "spam Fire 1, Transpose, lob Thunder and/or Blizzard, Transpose again, rinse and repeat." Honestly not sure what Yoshi-P sees in the job, but I feel like I should keep leveling it to 50 or 60 before I write it off completely or else I'm being unfair.

I just miss SAM, it's been my favorite job since it was introduced. Considering how many breaks I took during ARR and Heavensward I think I was just waiting for SAM to come along, because the moment I picked it up in Stormblood I was hooked. But with Kaiten gone and the damage spikes smoothed out, it no longer feels as exciting as it once did. The job needs its old flow back.
