    Suggestion: Please consider giving the pizza emote to those who ordered from grubhub

    Hello SE!

    I don't know if you know but the Grubhub promotion was a flop. Many of us have registered and ordered from Grubhub (reluctantly) but for an exclusive emote, why not? We've been experiencing a lot of problems you can even view a whole thread here:

    For me, the coupon applied with a blue label at the top of the screen and during checkout it did not. I could not apply the code and after speaking with a customer support rep she said that it's a technical glitch and it would be fixed if I ordered again.

    Really? You want me to spend $30 on awful service for an emote? Sorry GH, I used you once and never again.

    But that's besides the point. A lot of people have experienced technical issues and their customer support refuses to elaborate on why or resolve the situation. I know I'm not the only one who spent money on their service for the sole purpose of getting this emote. I could have easily planned to cook or at worse find a better delivery agent like door dash to do it.

    Since this is just a emote within FF14, I'm posting this request that somehow we can obtain it. Page after page of people not being able to get it due to technical reasons. Reddit has these posts as well and I'm sure you've received plenty of e-mails about it.

    I hope you'll consider this request, I really love FF14 and paying for another service just for an exclusive emote really speaks volume. It's just a shame that I, along with others may not get it for said buggy reasons.

    I don't even have the option of joining the promotion because GH is such a crappy service that nothing in my area supports it.

    I'm not sure but grubhub it seems is really notorious for being scandalous. The funny part is that the pizza place that I ordered from does direct delivery and also has coupons to lower the price of everything so instead of $31 it could have been around $12 + tip. Grubhub also charged a $1.50 or so for their service fee. The service fee alone is the cost of an emote if you think about it. Interestingly enough for those who tried the GH+ trial, supposedly that's what caused the technical glitch. So who knows, I doubt any of us who got the error will ever get the emote but it was worth trying at least.

    Ordered twice. The food took over an hour to be delivered. The first time it was sushi so it being room temperature was fine, 2nd time it was stone cold and gross.

    not super excited to try and keep using the service till I get a "confirmation". So far I don't have anything on the receipts to indicated it worked. If we didn't even have a chance, I never would have ordered through them, let alone twice.

    Lots of people are talking about fraud and selling things that people don't get.. we will see how blatantly we were lied to if there were limited codes and how badly they planned the collaboration if all these orders don't work.

    I'm ok waiting and missing an emote sucks, but I don't really condone raging for no reason. It'd be nice to get confirmation from SE's side about what they agreed to though.

    Yeah I didn't try the GH+ trial, since I assumed it would mess w/ the promo code somehow.. still won't go through. :/

    And the response I got from square:

    "We apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing with the Final Fantasy XIV GrubHub pizza emote promotion. Note that the promotion is limited to the first 20,000 customers after entering the promo code ENDWALKER which provides free delivery for any qualifying order of $15 or more. This offer expires on 12/15/2021 and codes will be sent out automatically on or around 12/17/2021 to the e-mail addresses associated with the GrubHub account which are limited to 1 offer per account. In the event you are experiencing an issue with the promotion, you will need to contact GrubHub support for further assistance as we do not handle the promotion on our end nor can we provide codes for it. We hope this information is helpful."

    BUT grubhubs customer support refused to manually enter it in/fix it. Because I "didn't" enter the code. It wouldn't let me.

    That's their policy. If they were allowed to do it then they would lose a fortune amount of money but then again, because they refused to do it I'm deleting my account after SE makes a statement on whether or not they will honor people with a proof of purchase. They hide the ability to contact customer service deep into their site too, it's not easy to find. Sketchy!
