    Figured the additional proof of response from customer service off the forum would help clarify that while they seem not inclined to include it in Known Issues... I noticed this section within the Support FAQ under "In-Game > Sound" which was posted 12/29/21 (two days after the last response in this thread).

    And to remain on topic, none of those fixes seemed to help much (it was quite a list, involving various things like clean boot, reinstall of GPU drivers, etc that I had already done and culminating in a full reinstall specifically on HDD rather than SSD), there is perhaps a slight improvement switching off fullscreen optimization, but that could be just as easily from me deciding to run it in Win7 compatibility mode in there. Otherwise, options for fixes have been exhausted for me as well.
