Audio popping issue

Patch 6.05. Sound is still broken. Im lvl 81 and not even completed first dungeon of the new expansion. (because im waiting for sound to be fixed.) Kinda want my money back for pre order of the game and sub, if thats not going to be fixed in the future.

So, SE made the following social media posts, announcing the patch.
I say we could post replies complaining of the audio issue (I already did), in both English and Japanese pages. If many people post their complains there, we could hope it to make some difference.
Just be polite, and don't spam (one post per person should fine).

For the Japanese pages, I think it's ok to post it in English, or you could try using an auto translation (like this one) before posting, it doesn't matter that text sounds strange, they'll understand.

Also, as we earlier discussed, it might be more effective to post bug reports to the Japanese forum instead of the English forums.
I'll come up for a way for people to do it, even if not understanding Japanese, and I'll post about it later.

I am a Playstation FFXIV player. I did not have issues at launch of the expansion, in fact the sound was great. As of 6.01 however, the sound became this washed out noise lacking all of the depth it had. As an audiophile, it’s very noticeable and really hampering the experience.

I also find it very weird with the no acknowledgement, there is also no news about this in other sites. Like I seen news of ffxiv players "mad" about the low poly grape thing but no news at all of the audio issues.

Is there a way to contact a gaming news site with the issue to bring more attention to it?

OK, i have read ~50% of the thread.

It seems that the vastly majority of people with that problems has an AMD Bulldozer CPU. The problem is, this CPU architecture is very ... special. The cores of these CPUs are not full fledched cores. Many units are halved and then shared between them. An "8-core" Bulldozer has only 4 floating point units. And if the floating point unit is busy then one halved "core" has to wait etc. And 3D-games utilize floating point units of a CPU a lot because all 3D-scenes are calculated with floating point numbers.

OK, this is propably not so easy to fix and i guess they will need some special code only for Bulldozer CPUs. Increasing the sound buffer could soften the problem but you could also notice some sound delay. Another fix could be installing a real hardware sound card.

I hope that the management is well aware of this issue and I hope that the management will recognize this problem and resolve it as soon as possible.
