Now I can finally see who my cohealer is raising!! That is such a simple yet amazing change that I'm looking forward to!!

I am very happy with the gender-unlocking of gear. Will rock that Thavnairian bustier as a DNC lol.
Beyond that, I'm also glad that AF gear will be easier to dye now. Even if we were talking about AF gear, it never really made much sense to me that one would have to go through extra steps just to get to... throw some paint on some gear.
PGY-3 Family Medicine resident.
Constantly learning.

Standout bits from the notes:
Aether currents in past expansions will have less currents and some are being relocated.
Role quests appear to be focused around the city-states.
Character portraits appear alongside battle text.
Rewatching cutscenes for class/job quests will require you to be set to the correct job (boo)
Sacks of Nuts are still being used as the hunt currency - I wonder how they explain it? Universal moogle currency instincts?
New furnishings - the "moon and stars" hanging decoration looks lovely. Outdoor things are nice. Walls with built-in alcove shelves are a good idea that will probably save people some work.
New flowers (triteleia) look like a good shape for the inevitable accessories crafted from them. Maybe not too colour-intense even if the designers do continue to use those oversaturated colours on them.
As I noted earlier, the "new MGP prize" appears to be glasses that you can wear with a hat.
Male Viera seem to be connected to 5.0 rather than 6.0
New Viera hairstyle looks odd from the back.
TRUSTS - Estinien can't be taken into Shadowbringers dungeons, which is curious. Maybe they need to script quite individually for different roles?
Also, no more forced levelling of the "avatar" trusts before you can get back to using scenario mode. It should have always worked that way.
New enemies - dog goobbue thing looks weird. Is it meant to be some kind of existing mythical thing or have they made it up out of nowhere?
WEAPON COFFERS FROM THE OLD PRIMAL TRIALS. FINALLY. No more clinging to my whole collection of them for "just in case" glamour purposes.
"Maximum waiting time for Delebrum set to ten minutes" - does that mean you could hypothetically end up in there solo if nobody else joins?
Undersized party now called "unrestricted party" - a very sensible change.
Still only a single roulette for 50/60/70/80 dungeons. Surely they have to split those at some point.
New tome gear looks good but some of the weapons are HUGE. Do katanas always look that oversized on Lalafells?
Gear for reaper and sage added to Grenoldt's shop - as I said earlier, I'm really hopeful about this and that they'll add similar mid-level gear for the earlier "added jobs" that don't get anything from their job quests.
"A new system has been added allowing players to dye artifact gear after progressing to a certain point" - that sounds like it could be oddly complicated.
Grenoldt's crafted weapons are now dyeable and not "weathered" - I hope they're doing that for the gear as well and reducing Memoria to a novelty for the five-slot materia sets.
Spring set, Thavnairian bustier, Housemaid and Butler set and the High House justaucorps becoming unisex - I've been wanting the Thavnairian "extra bits" (mainly the headdress and sleeves) to be available for a while now so it'll be good to have them.
Piety attribute has been removed from an assortment of all-class gear, so I wonder what they're doing with it. Maybe just so people don't think it's making a difference to their non-healer.
It sounds like they're trying to improve the gear recommendations for tanks below level 50.
GOOD RIDDANCE TO BELTS.
More things seem to be using the Sundry Splendours-type menu interface and I don't like it. Something about the navigation on PS4 controller feels really off. I'm not even certain exactly what it is but it doesn't flow well.
Looks like they're simplifying the scrip shops a lot, though. That was always a nightmare to find what you were after.
Getting more items from gathering sounds good, and (assuming that class quests now just ask for larger numbers of NQ items) you'll end up with a lot less wasted items or people trying to sell giant stacks of NQ stuff on the marketboard.
Spearfishing minigame could be fun or annoying.
The Level Checker mount looks fun. I wonder where it would drop from?
Chocobo barding... another one with wing covers. Bleh. Cute other than that.
Pixie wings! They should have given those sooner! They would have made a lot of sense as a pixie tribe reward. I wonder if they'll come in multiple colours.
Retainers - "delivery missions" seem to be something new. Have they mentioned it before?
The world map update is good, but Garlemald is a bit spoilery on it. I wonder if it is shown differently for newer players?
Showing party members' spell targets will be useful for coordinating heals and raises.
Aether compass moved to the Collection menu and removed from hotbars - I hope that's just replacing it with a button hooked into the new system and not that we have to open up the menu every time we're searching for currents.
Gpose when performing is good. No more having to attack something just so I can pose with a harp.
I thought more people would make a fuss about the coffee nerf. Going to be fun to see what they do with it.
Not bad so far a few good changes but no hairstyles for other races? Maybe I missed it >.<
Crap, I already cleared inventory but forgot to deal with all the belts I have.
Remove materias and update gear sets, I guess.
New hairstyles for hrothgars are planned with 6.1. No info for other races though as far as i have seen.
Overall, I see quite a few small quality-of-life changes that the community has been requesting for quite a while. That sort of thing is some of my favorite bits to read in patch notes.
Kinda love that they added a /patchnotes command for directing confused players.
