And still I can't buy the Expansion because it's still locked behind an inexplicable Region Lock.

Until this day, the Full Game is still not available in my country's Steam Store, or even in SEA (except SG) but the Free Trial still is.

Reiterating what my friend said, having the Free Trial available but not the Full Game is something that makes no sense.
Also, since the OCE server which is very close to my country is coming soon already, making the Full Game available here starting now before EW releases would be a much more better idea so people can pre order EW sooner.

I see some people thought we were talking about making a new SEA Server but that is really not what we are trying to say.

We only ask for FFXIV, its Full Game to be available here in SEA Steam Store just like the Free Trial (and with a localized price if possible).

Or a slightly worse option, let us buy the expansion using Crysta.
Sure, I still have to buy it at a higher price because of currency but her, at least I can buy it.

Or maybe just let me move from Steam to Non-Steam?

There are a lot of things can be done but I still think just making the Full Game available on our Steam Store just like how the Free Trial is will be the best option.
What your solution might be at the moment (since removing regional lock won't take 2 days, if they will even decide to do that at all) is to ask somebody who has access to the game in Steam to buy the expansion as a gift and send it to you or will at least find a way to send you a code you can activate in mog station. That's not a perfect solution, but it's better than nothing while you can't buy the game by yourself.

As for subscription, shouldn't Mog also have debit card option along with Steam Wallet and others? Or it doesn't accept your country cards?

We're not the first one to have requested to make the Full Game available on SEA (although I believe we're the first one to actually requested it on the official forum).
I've seen people have been asking for it to be available since a long time ago on Reddit and Steam Forum, yet there's still no words from SE which actually makes me a bit pessimistic about the whole thing.

Thanks for your suggestion, but unfortunately gifting doesn't work,
my friend has an Argentinian Steam Account and he can't gift it to me since the product isn't available in my region.

Japanese Mogstation doesn't accept my country CC, or even any other countries' as far as I can remember.
    It only accepts Japanese CC.

That's really unfortunate. You might try to contact support to ask if they can change your account region since you don't live in Japan anymore, though I'm afraid the chance they will you is pretty low. Maybe they will have some suggestions, though.

Maybe you can trying buying the game/expansions from SE online store?

    EU store
    NA store

Buy the version that matches your account. Do you see mog station prices in Euro? Then buy the EU version.

The issue is that Steam and Online Store versions are incompatible with each other. They can buy expansion, of course, but they will need to buy base game and start anew as well, because they simply won't be able to register the SE Online Store code in Mog Station for their Steam account.

Steam Account and Non-Steam Account is separated and once you created a character on one platform, you are locked in it, meaning I can only buy expansion strictly from Steam.
Unless I want to start a new account outside of Steam which I don't want to since I've already grown attached to my character.

I agree with the suggestion. Although I generally think the direct client has given less issues having more purchase options for the SEA region would be a good idea. Even something explaining it there are logistical reasons behind not being able to implement the suggestion I think would be welcome.

On this topic, out of interest, are the purchasing options the only issues for playing this game in SEA?

I am curious because I'm planning on potentially moving to work in Vietnam within the next couple of years (depending on my own circumstances) and would like to bring my MMO addiction with me.

As for the solution to the problem, yeah I think more purchasing options for all regions would be ideal. It does seem daft to have the trial but not full game.

I know a VPN was suggested, I don't know if it's also worth maybe contacting Steam support to see if it violates any ToS, particularly given you own the game on Steam and have simply moved country and now can no longer buy game time or expansions for a game you purchased. Just so you are avoiding a situation

I'd probably also suggest seeing if FFXIV's support can help, but I don't know if they would provide support for you in your country.

Many people including my friends also faced account registrations issues,
where they have to use EU or NA countries VPN before registering.

Even the series creator, Hironobu Sakaguchi also faced problems when creating account.

There is also an issue where the game launcher (for non-steam case) won't update (it will show an error) or update but with a very slow speed,
so you have to play around with your VPN.

That's all I can think about for now.

Thanks for the insight. So I'd just have to play with VPN to get stuff working properly.

And damn, I didn't know Sakaguchi had issues.

But I hope they do accommodate SEA more, especially with the new Australian servers coming, I think it'd make sense to be more inclusive with their regions. Though I am not sure how things work legally for each country because I know they have legal support for the territories they currently officially support.
