The guy who produced that 'study' counted military bases as gun-free zones, and created his own definition of 'mass-shooting' so that he could get the result that suited him best politically.

This place doesn't just service the NA region. It covers the EU region as well - which is a sizable portion of the community in itself.

Furthermore, it is because of the apparent abandonment of this forum that such content is even posted here in the first place.

Myself and others have spoken at length on the issue and even requested more of a presence to ensure that constructive feedback is encouraged and gathered, as seen here:

The entire point of that study was to prove that the potential presence of guns act as a potential deterrent. The fact that mass-shootings frequently occur in places where there's a significant armed security presence didn't support that idea, so the author simply only focused on whether or not civilians were allowed to possess guns in those locations.


In any case the point still stands, when you look at the statistics without manipulating them intentionally, the VAST majority of shootings take place in areas where civilian gun ownership is permitted.
