This thread is actually really entertaining -- though I have to admit that it shows a divide between Western and Eastern sentimentalities ^^ In most Eastern mindsets there is a huge divide between feminine and masculine depictions of stuff (armor, cloths, attitudes, emotes). In JPN you will almost never see masculine type things be put onto a female, and vice versa. I'm not entirely sure where the desire for males to be able to wear female items originated from, but I can say that such an idea isn't something that most of us (JPN, CHN, Eastern cultural norms) can attest to. Armor and clothes and glams exist and are made exclusively for a certain gender - and why is that bad? Surely niche people can wear gear that is opposite of their biological gender, if it is allowed, but to think a video game company will make twice the armor just so every gender can wear every set seems to be kinda whatever people call entitled, especially when the video game creators are JPN ^^
