Peregrine Helm and Onion items

When is the most recent time these items have dropped for anyone from Quick Exploration ventures? I've got 9 retainers running maybe 10 ventures a day every day in hopes of getting this stuff for glamour and I need to know if this is simply a pipe dream and I'll never get it or if it's worth continuing. I really want the Peregrine Helm to complete my set of onion helms, and I want the Onion gear to match my Onion Helm. Since they're market/trade prohibited, all the gil in the world wouldn't get me anywhere, and I need to know if I'm just throwing money at a wall at this point. Thanks for any info anyone has!

Unfortunately I think it's just random - I've never seen the Peregrine Helm drop but I've had a few Red Onion Helms brought back with Quick Exploration Ventures over the last few years, and I've also unfortunately never seen the rest of the Onion doublet set appear either.

It's not too much of a big deal for me as I do have the original Onion Helm too, being a 1.0 player who had the 1.0 Collector's Edition, but yeah, it would still be nice to have the rest of the set.

The last time I saw Onion gear drop was late 2019. I wrote about it here: Onion Doublet Still Obtainable in 4.0+?. I finished my Onion set in May 2019 and even got a couple of duplicate pieces. Later that year, I got a couple of pieces on another account. That's the last time I've seen any pieces drop, and I do around 20-60 quick ventures a day.

I have a hunch that they are no longer obtainable based on the 5.4 Patch Notes, which states: "Certain items previously obtainable via retainer ventures have been removed." It looks like the way quick ventures work now is, if your retainer gear is good enough to get a rare item, then they will bring back a venture coffer. When you open a venture coffer, you get one of the items from the coffer's loot pool, which is almost always dye or retainer fantasia.

As for the Peregrine Helm, I'm convinced it's not obtainable post-1.0. I've never seen it, but I'm still holding onto hope despite 5.4's change to quick ventures.

I just obtained onion gaskin last week.

Can confirm Onion Gaskin drops. Retainer was lv77, 3 ilv (so basically gearless).

More likely the "removed" items are the things that now come from the venture coffers, since they are no longer directly listed in the loot table.

Retainer Fantasia rarity and thus market price seems to have suffered greatly from the change in venture loot.
