Just as a start, i want to preface how happy i am for our friends at Oceania. I was screaming my shit off when they announced the new data center, because it shed a new light on a future, hypothetical Latin American data center.

I don't want to jump the gun and be too anxious because, as SE themselves said, it was some of a long coming that they had to work really hard to achieve. But, as Ethys said on the keynote discussion podcast, we need to raise our voice. We need to make ourselves known, so that one day, even if after years to come, we may also marvel at the low latency XIV!

It won't be easy though. Aside from the technical difficulties, we'll have to face some hurdles that our aussie friends didn't, such as:
  • ES/PT-BR Localization
  • ES/PT-BR customer support

I believe most of us wouldn't mind continuing to play the game in english so that we could bypass some of those hurdles, but i'm well aware that not everyone is proficient enough with the english language and would welcome a localization with open arms. But we'll raise our voices, we'll join forces so that mister Square Enix can, one day, make our dreams come true.

We have a big, lovingly community of brazillian players, and i'm sure our latin american friends would also appreciate a low-latency XIV. Hugs and kisses from a veteran brazillian player, and we'll se each other in Behemoth! <3

This is just the start!
