It's just the bucket list of what should be rewarded rubbed me in the wrong way, plus the "entitlement" argument because I think I didn't get what is the scenario of your proposal.

When you say "the server can currently accommodate 1 home per 1 active players" is this based on what? A fresh server, which does not address what we current have, or a clean state on housing itself?

I do agree the current system does not work, and I would not have a problem in "making the player work" for a house, as long as said player is able to get the house after the hurdle, which I don't see (yet) how this system would address the shortage problem besides trying to discourage the majority of the casual playerbase to engage in this content.
