UI/HUD reset

Since i can't deliver more information to "Insufficient Information" forum where you moved my report, i will post again. And i guess will have to post every time when HUD resets occures from now on.

More than a year passed since those first reports, and issue is still here.

All the information regarding window positions and sizes along with hidden elements etc is all controlled locally on your pc.

In your docs folder you'll find my games and in there will be a final fantasy xiv folder. Inside that ypu should find a folder for each character you have if more than one ffxiv-chr00....

Everything should be saved in there. I would suggest setting tour hud up and then making a back up of that folder. If it resets ypu can just restore it.

My other query would be do ypu have any sync /back ups running within your docs folder. I would be curious to see if any of those processes are changing your files due to possible conflicts..

I do know its all controlled on the client side though as my docs folder is synced between laptop and desktop. So any changes I make on my laptop like modifying a hotbar gear set macro or anything are automatically done when I log in on my desktop as its all saved within that ffxiv_chr00.... folder

^ This isn't an issue with the files disappearing, it seems like it happens when there are too many jobs UI saved, for example my seraph gauge on scholar always reset itself but other jobs don't.

It seems that what you are saying is that if you move enough windows from their default location in the middle of the screen, then it starts to reset some of them. It makes sense there is some sort of limit but it looks like it is a very large limit that most people would not achieve because the default location is fine. The limit is most likely at least 64 given the amount of steps you provided.

I don't see how resetting temporary windows would affect permanent UI Elements such as job gauges in the HUD Layout, but since you can save the HUD Layout you could load a different HUD Layout then reload the original one to get the position back.

I've had the same HUD Layout since I began playing in 2015 which I have copied over to new computers over time and it hasn't reset yet. I think some of it did reset because of a crash once but I had a backup.

Currently my WHM and BLM job gauge are reset again (since i use them so rarely).
Also very often Ocean Fishing, Eureka and Bozja UI reset too.
