Yeah I suppose so though we won't be getting that til 2.0. Still better than nothing though to remain positive lolLOL but my inside equips are all level 1 ;.;
I'll just wait for house keeping to let me out >.>
I think its a decision, we have retainers for regular storage, personally I wish they would delete Retainers and just have a storage box/bank or something.
As funky mentioned I think the bulk of the storage options will be left for player housing.![]()

Item condition must be 100% ...
this is one of those options that you completely forget about and use a mule instead, only thing to put there will be bathing suits, since they got no condition.

I'd have been more excited if it were just general item storage but this is better than nothing I guess. As an aside though why can't it just be general item storage, why are they restricting it to event items etc? Is it another server limitation deal or just a decision they made?

Awesome!
Only thing i think it needs is option to store the rare NM and Dungeon weapons / gears aswell.
(And ofcourse Ifrit, Moogle weapons etc.)
Unless the housing in 2.0 will offer greater storage options.
(With the possiblity of craftable storage furnitures that can be sold / bought from wards / Auction house / Bazaars!)
Im still very curious about if we ever will get option to craft any
furnitures or simmilar to decorate our houses later on. >.<
Other than that nothing, complaining about 100% repair requirements seems lazy.
Just ask for repair & go store it.
God knows why people asked for gil-sink in the first place if
you cant be bothered to get an item repaired.

Makes sense. Means they only need to store the minimal amt of info server-side. (Just item id.)
- Item condition must be 100%
- Only one of a particular item can be stored.
- Storing an item resets its spiritbond.

Yeah, as much as I hate it, this is exactly what I was thinking to be the reasoning behind it. Keeping track of variables like condition and spiritbond percentage is a lot more information than just an item id.

It's hardly much information at all, its simple text, 1's and 0's. [item id] [durability] [spiritbond]
I don't think that's the reason tbh, most likely they just can't add any additional storage with our current nightmare engine. A list of item ID + item condition + spiritbound progress are likely to be just 3 uint values (or even unsigned short integer), which doesn't take that much space, probably below 1kb per character.

Lol, they might as well have just said "ok guys, expect this feature in 2.0" cuz the limitations are so dumb I don't see myself using this thing at all.

Then don't. The purpose was to alleviate some of our inventory issues due to event/achievement items. It does exactly that. For everything else you have your retainers. Have fun wasting your retainer inventory space on things you could put in the Armoire. Could it be more useful? Sure but it does what it was created to do.
