So, I actually just had an idiot moment.


Those are not directx 11 crashes (for the most part)


They are the client generic crash messages. The client for xiv is literally named "ffxiv_dx11.exe". To let you know which version of directx it's running. When the client crashes, it throws up that error because the client with that name crashed. Not because of dx11.

That's true, and I don't believe OP should have written dx11 crashes, because they did mean general game crashing. They're just using dx11 crashes as a general term for the type of game crashing everyone is having this month.

Sucks I can't keep the game up for more than 30 sec sometimes =(
I just want to play..........
To be clear on what I'm experiencing, I receive no error message of any kind. It simply closes the game upon logging in. The problem started yesterday and has progressively gotten worse.

So I'm currently logged on to FFXIV have noticed while running 2560x1440 @ 144 Hz* my GPU consumption would spike to 99% I have since lowered the Hz* to 60 and have not crashed, my GPU consumption also more stable @ 25-30%

I get same issue, Ryzen 5 1500x first gen. RX480. Dx11, did everything everyone has listed here. No Luck.

I even did a system restore, removing everything i had, fresh drivers, whole nine yards.

It has gotten to the point where I had to actually make a forum account, and im on here to say i given up, and i just unsubscribed until Square Enix can get a clue and fix the issue.

This has wasted 3 days of my time,

Just for reference, how long did you do the stress test?

In my case, I've had rare crashes in games other than FFXIV.

It may be a different issue.

Hello.
Since today, in the earlier afternoon, i have the same issue. Just a random error windows pop, and close the game. I tried reinstall FF XIV, reinstall windows, full clean instalation, DirectX9, 11, windowed mod, fullscreen, and still the error. It can occur just 5 minutes after my connection, or 10 minutes. But litteraly i can't play.
