If You're Having DirectX 11 Crash Issues, REPLY TO THIS!

Since there seem to be dozens of separate threads in this forum alone, not to mention all of the Reddit comments/posts and full Discord channels full of frustrated, paying, unable-to-play people since the launch of 5.0 that is continuously reaching more and more people as time goes on, I'd like to get this thread started to hopefully draw SE's attention to the amount of people having the issue. Per every 1 person that reports here, I'm sure there's at LEAST a dozen more that aren't on the forum having the same issue. I'm probably thinking too generously.

Please reply here with a short and simple version of "Yep, I'm having it too". We're paying for this game, we shouldn't have to draw this much attention to an issue so many of us are having. But apparently we have to for them to address it properly.

Yep same issue since 5.0. Quit game after a few months due to this but been back since though see this hasn't been fixed, this only occurs with ffxiv.

Turned off overlays (discord, geforce, steam, windows game bar) and still have this random crash.

Tried completely reinstalled windows and ffxiv.

This is an example crash, normally the codes are different each time. Also tried with dx9 and same issue.

I really wish this would be fixed. It's apparently been a long time issue that they still haven't bothered to fix. I used to just have the sporadic crash here and there, but ever since this Relic Quest update, I've been crashing extremely frequently. No error is displayed. The game just closes. I've even tried to run it in DX9 since its apparently a DX11 issue. Same thing happens there.

Come on Square. Get off your butts and do something about this. Its been happening for at least a year plus to a smaller group of folks, but now the issue is getting out of hand.

Try using an older version of the Nvidia driver. That first DLL specifically is an Nvidia driver component, and googling shows it coming up as crashing in multiple other games as well.

Thank you for the suggestion, unfortunatly this has been going on for a while including older drivers. That error was just one example as just crashed again this time with the following:

Have you checked into event viewer following the crashes? curious if anything else pops up as a window error in there. You've already done re-installs, so thats a step done. Have you tried also reseating the GPU?

I'm getting the same error. Screen flickering periodically, especially when not in a duty, leading to an eventual crash and a "application ffxiv_dx11.exe has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware".
Sometimes I play several days with 0 crashes, other days it crashes 3-4 times.

This is the only game I play that I have issues with, many other more graphically intensive games run with absolutely no issues, so something with FFXIV is borked.

I have the same crash since the new patch. And yes, we all have tried everything.

- driver update
- nothing running in background
- directx9
- windowed mode
- internet explorer as the browser
- all configurations in the lowest
- full uninstall and install the game (wich means the folders too)
- get back to the olders drivers
- etc etc etc.... nothing works

I played for like 300h before the patch, and after that no more than 1 day.

Posted about this yesterday, but yeah, me, too. I'd like to play the game in DX11; It's ridiculous that you'd break your game for this many customers and simply languish for months.
