If You're Having DirectX 11 Crash Issues, REPLY TO THIS!

I'm currently dealing with the same exact issue. Ever since last night my game refuses to operate properly when attempting to do any content. At times I get the laundry list of DX11 error codes and other times the game just closes with no warning or error codes. Im super frustrated and dont know what else to do

I'm also getting DX11 errors as of patch 5.3, it just shuts down and throws a (1100...02) error. I gradually lowered the settings from high to desktop standard, and it started behaving. Tried to login again and setting my old graphics settings and the crashes started happening again. My GPU is on default settings but maybe having things maxed out in game causes it to boost too much and crash the game.

Just popping in to say that what eventually fixed this issue for me was setting ffxivboot64 to compatibility mode for Windows 7 and launching the game that way. Game worked fine yesterday, today nothing but DX11 errors. I spent over two hours crawling Google and these technical forums, trying dozens upon dozens of fixes and work arounds. Even tried a completely fresh install on a different drive and had no luck. Eventually I decided to fallback to the old way of fixing things: tell it to run in compatibility mode. And I'll be damned if it didn't fix the DX11 crashes. Played for four straight hours, ran a few duties, did everything I could think of to "stress" the game and no crashes. I have no idea if it'll work for anyone else (if you're running a 32-bit version of Windows, try using the regular ffxivboot instead of the ffxivboot64), but I figured I could at least post my own solution here to add to the hundreds of other suggestions that worked for other people.

Yeah, I'm having the same issue. Have been for a while. I tried the fix with capping my fps through Nvidia, Drivers are up to date. No fix has worked yet, hopefully SE can help us out

The game crashes whenever I enter a player house. It doesn't always happen, only on occasion, which is why I can't reliably reproduce the crash.

So after fumbling around with this some more I found out these things, the solution that seems to have helped me I'll list first:
1)In the configuration in the login menu I reset the graphics settings to Standard (Desktop), for some reason that let me log back in at least. For how long I cannot say. However it's better than the constant crashes on login.
2) This issue seems to be by all accounts tethered to one specific character, because I could log in with another one on a different data center, and create a new character on my world without experiencing any issues/crashes.
3) For this reason I think it's possible that the graphics settings or something in these settings is the culprit of these errors+crashes.
I have no idea if this was just a lucky coincidence, however if this helps just one other person I'll be damned for not posting this.

Edit: Okay, it just crashed again when I went into the North Shroud, just like the last time. Resetting the graphics to Standard (Desktop) let me log back in right away. Seems like my game doesn't like me being in the North Shroud...

Another person experiencing the crashes here. It seems as soon as I zone into a decently populated area a crash will occur within a minute or so, although the exact time fluctuates. These started last week.
